Was the real Jewish Garden of Eden located in Jerusalem?

Dr. Francesca Stavrakopoulou a biblical scholar thinks so.

When I add in the research being done by archeologist Israel Finkelstein showing what may be the true picture of the ancient Israelites, I too begin to think that the Jewish Eden was in Jerusalem. The God /King would have been from the Levi tribe and a Levi priest who would have been the head of the Jewish Divine Council.

I think that the key is the river Gihon that ties it all together.

What do you think?
Was Eden in Jerusalem and did they have a God/King in charge?

Were all of our Gods and Kings always humans?

Seems unlikely if we're basing Eden off the Biblical narrative (and if we're not, why look for Eden at all?):

I look for anything that will discredit the literal reading of scriptures that are producing a homophobic and misogynous religion that continues to discriminate against women based on literal reading of a myth.

I think like Francesca Stavrakopoulou in that the Garden was in a palace or temple complex in Jerusalem.

In times of peace, I can see the various kings of the city states competing and showing off their power and wealth by creating Gardens of Delight as portrayed in that first link, within their palaces or temples.

I think reality is a projection of our senses. All 6 of them.

The source of the myth of Eden is likely under water if it was in Dilmun. We may never know and I do not really care as I read Eden as pure myth.

I think that the Jews just plagiarized Eden from Sumerian myths and applied it to their own palace complex Garden of Delight.

adam, lower case a, means society so I can agree that A & E were not Jewish. Myths have no real nationality as whatever nationality one is is supposed to be injected into the mythical character as we internalize the myth.

Jack in the beanstalk I would read as white but I would expect that a black person would see him as black.

That myth though has not created a misogynistic cult based on Santa's home the way Christians have with Eden.

If you are misogynous you will not care but if you are not, you too will like to discredit this myth in the minds of misogynous Christians.
