Focus on the path before you.

Many people would like you to focus on them. But if you ignore what is right before your eyes--the path before you--you are blind. And if you continue in your blindness you will be blindsided. If you commit to focusing on your path, you will be rewarded with sight. And with your sight, you will know what to do next. And when you know what to do next, people will have to respond to reality rather than false conclusions based on denial of reality when they deal with you.

If you have to wait to be 'awarded sight", then how are you supposed to focus without it?

If all you focus on is your own path, you will surely be blindsided by all the entities along the way that you haven't noticed.

A bit vague O.P. but let me say that my first moral tenet is to decide when I am dealing with others is Care/Harm as described in this moral system.

So even if I have an agenda or path I am trying to follow, I have to more or less decide if the one I am dealing with is friend or foe and if as you say the other guy wants me to blindly decide he is a friend and not a foe, he may get my harm and not my care.
