Do you think that God programmed us with intelligence?

Whether intentional or otherwise, did we acquire (human beings) intelligence at the time of the Garden of Eden or did we already have some basic level of intelligence before Adam and Eve ate the fruit?

Well, besides this being a mixed bag of evolution and fictional characters, humans gained brain mass by eating cooked meat, not fruit.

Yeppers! Haven't you ever noticed that vegetarians are kind of dull-witted?

That would explain Eve's foolishness.

DNA surely is the most advanced coding known to man. So you are actually asking whether or not God did it.
Well, the entire internet as far as i know doesn't have any actual answer to that, so good luck in this microcosm.

There is also the suggestion that early humans evolved the ability to run for long distances. There was a coordinated effort by several humans to pick out a prey animal and continue to chase it till it was exhausted and couldn't run away. The intelligence was needed to work together and identify the particular animal to be hunted, and it seemed to be a successful strategy for taking animals that were faster and possibly larger than humans. It also involved the use of weapons for the kill.

Or domesticated dogs to hunt. They are vastly better endurance runners.

Yes canines are better at endurance running than today's humans but this was referring to prehistoric hunters, and it would also depend on when dogs were domesticated. If the wolves and wild dogs were hanging around picking up the scraps, that would have come after.

"The dates also make it unlikely that dogs were domesticated during the Agricultural Revolution, which took place millennia later. Instead, they must have first associated with European hunter-gatherers. They may have assisted humans in bringing down large prey, or could simply have scavenged leftover carcasses. Either way, their association with humans grew stronger and stronger, until they eventually evolved into domestic dogs."

There is a problem with the scavenging theory, early hunter gatherers would not have had a plentiful supply of food and it is more likely that early humans would not have left much scrap for animals to find. I have seen programs where cracking the large bones for the marrow was demonstrated with a few rocks as tools, and bone marrow is very rich in calories, which is what the early humans needed most to survive.
