Any thoughts on this film? It's very well-made. And it raises some interesting questions about consciousness and A.I.

I noted at the end, that the AI, while seemingly full of wonder, lacked any fear or trepidation as to it's new circumstances of freedom. Just an observation.

Hmm yes. That had not occurred to me. A good thought.

I wondered why she would leave Caleb to die too, when he was clearly trying to help her. Eva was a little reminiscent of Hal 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Yes. Definitely shows lack of compassion or empathy for someone going through the same imprisonment it just escaped.

I'd have to watch 2001 again. Been a while.

So, so far, we have a lack of empathy, and fear. Starting to sound more like a sociopath... Or a machine, yes?
