Why many philosophers are scum

I believe it to highly likely that philosophy departments have proportionally more of this sort of problem than others. Secondly, what difference does it make? One incident is bad enough.Ginkgo wrote:Melchoir

No one should be 'worshipped'. I take 'sexual harassment' claims with a bit of a grain of salt these days. I've heard the same thing about physics departments, atheist conventions etc. etc. Apparently they are all full of rampaging sex maniacs and rapists. I don't know what young people say, but when you produce such a declarative statement it is taken as a universal or particular.
