seeking gods to avoid Truth

god came into being when order and control corroded into chaos and anarchy. this was renamed free will and gave all an excuse to blame our ignored responsibilities on some he-god up there somewhere that controls our lives. this he-god gave us free will because if he didn't he-god wouldn't be a nice he-god, would he? and nobody would give him the honor they would never give themselves because it's too heavy, man... we can't go there... we have enemies to fight against our he-god, enemies that must be reduced to atoms then maybe our he-god will give us what we've always wanted... uh... we'll think of it before we get there... give us a chance. we're only hu'man, you know... don't you?
and that, my friend, is about the proverbial nut in an eggshell. no matter how many words we use, there isn't any that we've created that spell 'r-e-l-i-e-f' from the aching existence that we always seem to fuck up one way or another... we're too goddam busy trying to make-up answers for every question that we dream up to avoid the Truth within us all.

If you are referring to the monotheistic God of abrahamic religions, God is genderless and can 'has never been seen at any time'. If you are referring to other Gods which are identifiable, like idols or deities, .... well, be sure to specify; there is a big difference.

Ian: "God is genderless and can [
sic] 'has never been seen at any time'."
I have to assume you've never heard in your life the insistence that God is a "He", despite the fact (which I do agree with), God is genderless. I am not in this little rant speaking about idols or deities but only this God which (supposedly) speaks to us, judges us, made us in 'His" image (gender associated), and the same God the good will rejoin after death.

The bible has been translated through many languages. God does not have a gender, because God is not flesh. If you do not read the bible in spirit, you will never understand it.
If you make God into a gender, or assign God any specific physical trait, you make God in a deity such as an idol; and this is a rejection of true monotheism.

Ian, you're turning this into a preaching. I've already concurred w/ you that this presence you call "god' is genderless, and yet you keep on ranting the same message. Please reread my original post.
