Virtual Reality Gone Haywire

What if we are in a VR? We flicked the switched and boom we are conscious robots realtime HD. It had a wow factor at first but the maze is getting boring.
It's if the NPC's are not even real or detailed. Everyone else seems to have love and pleasure except me. When you get too close to an NPC you find they are illusory, and have no feelings at all. It's like you have to glitch the game to experience anything fun or pleasurable at all. It is distance between goals that give players the drive to attain them. Naturally the developers give the illusion they can be attained, but they never can, and so, one must glitch the game to attain them. Once one glitches the game and attains all the goals, like godmode, there is no fun in playing anymore.
It's a joke, a game, not real. Fake as a matrix.
