It is perhaps that consciousness perceived the whole of the universe, it was the universe. And that to escape the pain of being, it found itself a human body to minimize it's perception. What does not follow is why me. I am a sentient, most intelligent being on this planet. If the goal was to escape complexity, why not become an ant? Perhaps it is not possible for it to. Perhaps it wishes to become an animal, but cannot, because humans impede it's progress by causing animals suffering.
Life is a stream. There is no death, only different levels of pain and bizarreness creating boundaries and contrast. Personalities and information are maintained through cultural avatars. There is also some information I am witholding. In the future we hope for true death, or at the very least, safe and infinite near-nothingness.
This seems true. It seems like the universe is a sparkling set of energies and pains. When one takes a scientific approach, one sees that all things are a form of energy. Consciousness, dark matter, matter, light matter, all forms of energy. Therefore, sentient perception of pain and pleasure, can only be the sum of energy patterns. Pain is an abundance of concentrated energy signals. It would follow that the universe is an abundance of concentrated energy signals, and therefore pain. The question would be, would the space between clusters negate the pain.My opinion of pain is that a severed limb is just opening up your consciousness to the universe, your consciousness becomes free. Your consciousness naturally consumes the universe and finds a body to reside. When the body is damaged a little bit of consciousness floods out and fills the universe, universe fills the consciousness. What you feel is the extremity and complexity of the universe, sensation of the universe, we label this sensation pain.

I agree. Since pain is associated with complexity and intensity, it would follow that the purpose of life is to become nothing. The chimps have done a poor job at it, and do not understand why they do what they do. The reliable cure is absolute death, destruction of consciousness and the universe.Funny vid. My opinion though is all things are truth, even lie. Lies exist, they are thoughts, lies are feelings and thoughts, they exist, they are truth. If life has no meaning how can you say truth has value? Life does have meaning or at least purpose.
The meaning of life is that it exists, it is an emergent property it exists because life could not percieve unlife. The purpose of life is of course to end the black cloud. The chimps with their beliefs and traditions just turn the cloud grey, but one must end the black cloud altogether. Total annihilation of the universe, consciousness, and all things.
