The Poll is meaningless because none of the choices reflect what I would have chosen. I do occasionally fantasize about it but not seriously, since it is realistically beyond my reach.

I hear ya, Doc. It doesn't reflect my answer, either.

However, on second thought it does reflect Trixie's negative attitude toward everything. I really thing she's just a spoiled child with nothing better to do.

I'm guilty of that to Doc. But I try to couch my pessimism in humour for others' benefit. I don't mean this as an ad hominem to her, but I think she is hurting. And I don't wish to worsen the hurt she feels.

But as death is the end of all suffering then why would I not want to be dead at some point

Since no one can give an account of the discontinuation of consciousness, it's really hard to determine whether it's 'experienced' or not.

To me dying is in fact part of death, and you may experience that. Sound like fun?

Well since dying occurs when you are alive it cannot be regarded as part of death

Although to be fair this is more a pedantic point rather than a philosophical one

For me personally however there exists a clear demarcation between the two
