~ Blind Grubs ~

I am at the point in my life where I understand, my life doesn't matter. Our lives don't matter. Actually nothing matters.

The earth goes round. We are ground into it. Grains of sand.

...and yet – I've had an extremely beautiful day. REALLY enjoyable.

And I just did what I normally do. And I realize I'm one click closer...perhaps, even today is the day.

We never know.

We are blind. We are like blind grubs in the soil. Nothing more.

Our individual lives mean nothing...and I'm fine with that. Is this a point of philosophical maturity or just a passing feeling?

Are you immature or less mature than I if you don't embrace this feeling?

Am I seeing beyond being human or do I have a pathology that might involve my present emotional state?

...or are we like blind grubs that are blind to soooo many things? Things that we are unable to be aware of.

...just came back from a church I go to.

Dust to dust. Ash on my head. I truly am fertilizer...

I missed that this year due to weather and other considerations, but even when I do attend, I don't go up for the ashes on my forehead, I just sit and watch everyone else. The Gospel lesson is always from Mathew 6 1-6, 16-21 or something similar, and I paraphrase this and say, "I wear my cross on the inside, not on the outside." So far pastor has had no answer for that.
