Would you agree there are different kinds of beauty, each to be appreciated in their own individual way? And would you also agree that beauty is subjective in nature?

Yes, and yes. To the first, different things can be beautiful in their own way. To the second, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what is beautiful to one may not be beautiful to another.

Look up 'golden ratio and the human face'. You might not like Angelina Jolie's face (the subjective part), but there is no denying the aesthetically pleasing proportions of it (the objective part).

Beauty in a person : Probability of successful reproduction. Defects are no-no. Big muscles are good for knocking elephants over their heads and killing invading lions. Big boobs and curved hips are symbols for birth and nurturing babys.

Beauty more generally, cannot see anything objective in it, more than maybe in a sense that things commonly suggested as beautiful makes good starting points for discussion. Sunsets of the right kind seem to fascinate most people, but i would still guess that it stimulates some good synapses and stuff in the brain for some reason, cannot really see why.

Beauty is the love of a local thing by the nonlocal consciousness that the thing is inside of.

Beautiful is what makes you relax and smile.

A sunset, a small smiling child, Duke Ellington orchestra playing, a plate of warm tasty food when you are hungry.

Beauty makes us smile and relax. Or a human being.

Exactly we as in common . The only true common is consciousness . True happiness is happiness without attachment to the object of beauty consciouse awareness of beauty is beauty. So all beauty is really consciousness.

So if there is a beautiful rose on the moon and nobody to see it then the rose“s beauty does not exist.

How about a beautiful jewel which sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean when the ship Titanic collided with an iceberg.

Has the jewel stopped being beautiful because no conscious human being is there to notice it ?
