If they didn't fill the bible with rubbish, and listened to just Jesus' teachings alone, the world would have been a better place, surely.

Yeah, because Jesus saw Satan in every religious leader but in himself. And if you tried to question whether he was possessed by Satan, well that was the unpardonable sin. He made Judaism palatable to the rest of the world. Aren't you glad? He was the most two-faced of them all. He truly was the Son of God.

The Bible already states that satan entered Jesus several times. As for the Bible, Jesus teachings are one of the parts of the Bible that isn't utter rubbish. Jesus had no control over the Romans adding extra books and unneeded rubbish to his teachings.
