Distributive justice

Hi! I have got a decision to make and there is a moral question I have.
I won an iPad and a really good friend of mine would need it more than I need it. I think it would be right to give the iPad to my friend as a birthday present. Otherwise if my friend would really need an iPad she would be able to buy one (i know that she can afford it). I allready bought another present before I won the iPad. The other present is a signed book by her favorite author.- a lot more personal So I am not sure what to do, because it might be the right moral thing to give her the iPad because she needs it more (and the book next Year or X-mas or so...)
What is your moral opinion?

Give both to a charity that helps starving children in Africa. Then give away all your other possessions and go volunteer to care for lepers in Calcutta.

(You seem to be fishing for someone to tell you how selfless you are)

chir,

Give your friend the book.

As you say '(the) signed book by her favorite author (is) a lot more personal' and isn't that what a gift should be?

Not seeing your moral quandary.

well if you didn't blacken her eyes, she wouldn't need an iPad...

Replace 'I' with 'eye' and it should make sense.
