The biggest problem with religious belief (in a general sense) is consistency. Get three apparently "similar" believers in a room and before long you find that each has a different conception of their God, praxis etc. Even atheists disagree on what they don't believe in!
Linda's opening gambit is perhaps a great example - everyone who reads it will see a different meaning, making conversation (or progress in the discussion) quite difficult. So possibly the best that can be hoped for is Linda has identified herself as a Christian, and I imagine others will now identify themselves as other things... sigh...

The death rate of people quitting their medicine due to hoaxes claiming to theal them, are horrific!
