Philosophically...how should I react?

Ebola may now be in the city where I live.

Should I panic?

Should I prepare to panic?

Should I just ignore the explosion of media and realize that the fear of Ebola is no more real than the fear of death?

Looking for your best advice.

Americans are so overly dramatic. It's a fucking mask. Who would scream like a mental asylum inmate at a mask ffs? Even if it were real I might jump a bit, but for crying out loud...

Do you say anything that doesn't involve America in some way?

Bill - I hear they're looking for volunteers to go to Liberia and work for the WHO.

Just search for ways to prepare. Buy some safety gear and maybe buy some emergency food and medicine.

Hi Bill,

Just don't kiss or fuck anyone and you'll be fine. Don't play in other's urine.

Or you could except the fact that it's more easily spreadable than the media will have you believe, as to not start a national panic.
Then you can live each day as if it were your last. This is living in the now.

Just some fellow Buddhist humor. :)

@Bill If you get ebola, just make sure you travel on as much public transport as possible, at peak times. Touch as many people as you can, and most importantly, indulge in lots of group hugs and big, wet kisses. This ensures that you share 'good energy' with others, and it will kill the virus.

Since everyone knows what not to do

it is a good idea to make some fun

and to enjoy the time one has left.

Some patients in Liberia leave the hospital having survived

and they rejoice.

I think that the de facto President of the World; President Obama, is doing the right thing in attempting to contain the Ebola pandemic to the already infected areas in West Africa.

We are sending money, equipment, and the United States has already sent over 4,000 soldiers to that blight stricken areas.

You're welcome humanity...

The only way to contain it is to ship all the people with ebola to the US. This will enable US citizens to give them group hugs, passing on their own positive energy and upness and thus killing the virus-- THEN the rest of humanity will thank you. I understand that smiling at victims is also beneficial, but it must be a smile from a mouth that encompasses more than half of the face. Apparently this can only be found in the US.

ps Terribly sorry that you have ebola over there. Keep up the group hugs.

Check list:

1) are you dead yet

2) ok

Now you are going to die from something that could really kill you. I would however forgo traveling to countries where ebola is rife.

lol. Never mind the fact that practically everyone has a gun, just worry about the ebola.

Philosophically...why are you asking us? How you react is up to you.
Should I panic?
No idea, do you want to panic?
Should I prepare to panic?
How does one prepare to panic?
Should I just ignore the explosion of media and realize that the fear of Ebola is no more real than the fear of death?
No idea, what do you want to do?

Why? Make-up your own mind.

Obama can't even run his own country let alone the world.

As de facto president of the world the previous presidents should have dealt with this a few decades back when the problem was identified. In that time we've done nothing to improve the medical and cultural practices of those countries and this was a problem waiting to happen. That we are now trying to fire-fight it may be our only solution but personally I think its a little to late.
We are sending money, equipment, and the United States has already sent over 4,000 soldiers to that blight stricken areas.
Nice, 4,000 possible carriers coming back.

Big of you but it might have helped more if you'd spent less on guns and more on healthcare.
