Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there so much needless suffering in the world, from natural disasters, war, violence and such? Why would a loving God do this?

It's very simple, if God should intervein ..then he would remove all the evil politicians ...which is almost all of them, the mobsters, the the molestors, then the tax evators, then the sinners..
..and in the end there would only be a few people left, unable to run a society, society would collapse!

Therefore NO FREGGIN INTERVENTION!!!

And He'd have to remove all the evil cozy chatters and then you'd be deprived of the pleasure you get from excoriating them.

"If there is a God, why is there evil?"

Could be: He just doesn't care.

Could be: if He pokes His nose into the world He'll pooch the deal for all of us (perhaps short circuiting 'free will').

Could be: He likes it when man is inhumane to man.

Could be: there ain't no God.

*shrug*

I see it as irrefutable evidence that it's not so bright people asking, if I should give another version of an answer, it would be that no matter how many million people that would perish, life still goes on, even after 6 mill jews got gassed, life still goes on, and we prosper.

So why would any one waste time, weeding out evil, when we should do it ourselves?
