Is it religion or science related? How did this come about?

For me it would be science. It gives rational explanations for many things from simple assumptions.
It brings order to many things and events.

If you cannot sustain a conversation, then posting multiple threads will not make up for it. It clutters the site. Try engaging in one conversation for a while.

What is wrong with threads that help start conversations? And on some of them, I do get into conversations.

OK, I'm not actively searching out anyone's web content. And I'm not trying to discourage you from engaging in this site. I'm just saying, why not follow up on your posts - get in a conversation? I won't bother you any more about it, just a comment.

A belief is something that seems to you to be true but you cannot prove it scientifically.

A new belief occurred to me the other day on the bus:

If someone is mean to you and you cannot change it (because you feel too weak to try) then you have the choice between hate and masochism.

It is not my firmest belief, just one belief.
It will hold for me as long as someone or something shows me that it is wrong.

I generally avoid it so as not to influence others in their decision response and I have other reasons. Sometimes I have to respond, such as if someone asks me a question. I would say the threads are doing good in response.

Is there a rule saying that the one who sets up a thread has to post to it?

I think that it is like at a party:

someone says something, asks a question in a general way, not aiming at anyone in particular.

Another person responds to it in a certain way.

Good manners require that the first guy reacts to this response. Or am I mistaken ?

Or, there are phenomena.

I don't have any firm beliefs, I think beliefs are wasting your time.

Is that a firm belief or more irony?
