hi hope l can join in with some discussions here; only just began studying philosophy though always been interested in 'what is reality' and 'the meaning of life' though reading philosophy of mind is shaking my supposed foundational self into a fragmented schizoid shape at the moment - o well the only certain thing is change so might as well embrace and welcome it :)

have a separate sense of self that does not use brokeness as a measure of identity but how one is supposed to function ie domestic self, academic self etc social self, unique self**
I think academic reading is challenging and deeply impacting at the best of times so take that into account. Lighten up as well. You will need to see the biases and trends later on. Biological explanations are currently popular but need to be tempered with philosophy literature sociology etc. Even if i had brain damage or some gene defect i would defy it. Do likewise. enjoy the forums
