What I meant is that I believe educators and people in the entertainment industry feel guilty about making high incomes, and at the same time realize that even they can't figure out why they're having such a great life doing nothing of real value, you know, just giving lectures and taking off for the summer, or playing basketball or singing or making movies, and it gnaws at them why should they be doing so well while the hoi polloi are working their asses off for comparatively starvation wages and lousy benefits. These are the people they identify with, and so, yes, they support minimum wage, etc., etc., etc.

I did the best I could to position educators and entertainers for you, but to no avail. Unfortunately, you want it both ways. You want everybody to have a nice life, but the liberal approach is to give everybody a nice life on the backs of people who make it all happen, and my friend, it's just not going to happen that way.
