if you would not understand, this might help.

I take it it means Celsius and yes it does at 100oC at normal elevation, although it can boil at less on a mountain or in space. I am not sure what your point is. Even bearing in mind America: World Police

I'd presume you are talking about latitude but that doesn't make much sense either. :S

If you mean America has far too much latitude in its political dealings I'd agree with the lyrics, they seem to be over reaching at least in the late 20th century and early 21st but I don't think Obama is quite the same idiot Bush was.

America was founded on the ideal that it would not tolerate imperialism in any form and that it would never indulge in the imperial transgressions the Europeans had imposed on the world, that was a long time ago though, so it's probably fine now.

it does not make sense, and neither does the text indeed, for only the u.s. uses fahrenheit, but they cannot see the rest of the world is getting sick of them playing world police (read; world bully) and we rather stick to the metric system, and you (=murica) either can dance along with us, or start getting used to singing solo, for this U.S.A bless the world crap HAS TO STOP. Did you know England agreed to adopt the Metric system if the French would let the Greenwich meridian be 0 degrees, the French agreed and Greenwich was hence 0 degrees, of course we reneged on the deal refusing to accept the metric system until 1972 in our currency which was a god send as frankly 240 pennies to the the pound was horrendous, and fully until we were included in the EU as regards weights and measures. Politics it's all lies.

I do my best to like Obama, and try to believe he is actually doing good, but how can i tell, he's not just a more charming Bush?

I do my best to like Obama, and try to believe he is actually doing good, but how can i tell, he's not just a more charming Bush?

Hmm you look at the actions not the words, although if you looked at Bushes words you could see he was a buffoon, which is odd because as a governer he was quite eloquent, you don't get an office of power by being unable to persuade the masses; it took a presidency to turn him into a stumbling president who seemed ill able to use his words effectively. Someone once suggested to me he like Reagan had gone senile, but I think it's more likely the stage he was on and the 9000 people in his ear that made it harder to be who you wanted to be. Plus he wasn't the brightest and not the most able to turn a rebuke into a decent reposte.

Quite I think we are in agreement politicians use words like poets to make people soften to their pretences, but if we have any sense we look at what someone does not what he says.


If you were the Devil you would be in every political campaign ever run by human beings. At least as the father of lies you should of been. Mind you I am not that sympathetic with the Devils plight, not just as I don't believe he exists, but because if he did he's rather better at his job than God is which seems ironic.

And no that was not a pun about Job the book in the Bible, although maybe it should of been...

If i were the devil now, and only could have one place, tell me is there a place worse than the white house, based on actions and (true) intentions? they are nazi germany of the 21st century, and just like that got to an end, the nazi states will too.

The Devil was the fairest and most beautiful of all angels, considered by the choir, his pride though lead him into rebellion against heaven, the lesson I suppose is in the power you are given to wield and if you can wield it in humility, The Devil could not, he saw his creations of many stars as more perfect even than Gods, and he was in himself deceived in his hubris. So hence are politicians even more likely to be corrupted by their own power, and although hubris is the result by definition, sadly we seem unable to learn that power does not come with a rule book that is easily explained, and it most certainly is not without a horse hair with a sword dangling over your head at all times. Like Damocles the politicians would be wise to acknowledge that, sadly though they are not.

It's an ancient lesson few seem capable of learning, it's also a problem that those most able to hold power eschew it and those most able to be corrupted by it want it. We seem to be in a conundrum, the smartest men don't want power, and those who are smart enough to get it wont be unaffected by it, and will be corrupted more easily by it.

God has the patience of all saints and the wisdom of all time, the devil, on the other shoulder, is rather much more impulsive and not so well thought out?

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I would like to point out that water, in a boiler, might not boil at 172 Celsius, depending on the pressure.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I would like to point out that water, in a boiler, might not boil at 172 Celsius, depending on the pressure.

considering most 'average' people will tend to think from 1 atmosphere, i do not see the problem . and yeah its meant to be 172 degrees Fahrenheit

btw, i only want to start a discussion, saying the usa should mind their own state 'n faith, and should stop interfering with the rest of the world, especially there were they find there black gold.

most people dont realize water vaporizes in vacuum, but if you're clever enough to realize that, i hope ur clever enough too to realize 172 degrees is not an angle, nor a temperature in Celsius, but a synonym for murica.

(murica being the worse half of the states, and america being the better half. If you are born there, its not your fault, but are you a murican or an American on the land of your native forefathers?)
