Silk road shut down: Arresting an individual or an Ideal?

I have written an article regarding the recent arrest and seizure of the biggest on-line drug marketplace to date.

"Silk road was an on-line market place which provided a platform for ‘buyers’ and ‘sellers’ to deal with each other anonymously. It is a platform which functioned, and was only accessible, through ‘Tor’. Tor, is a program which provides a network of host computers to hide your IP address and effectively make you anonymous."

...

"The risk becomes attacking ideas, rather than problematic actions. Libertarianism is an ideal; Tor, bitcoin and silk road all share some ideals in common; Tor and bitcoin have no active relationship with the drugs trade. To say so is to blur the lines between a drug war, and a war on an ideal."

the whole article is here:

It will be great to get a discussion going. Whether you agree or disagree with what I have to say, or just fancy providing feedback on my writing. all is welcome.
