... and such... what are those things Tim, "as such"? Talking "spiritual stuff", "religious stuff" or perhaps "conspiracy theory stuff"?

There's a lot of things that should be quite distant from philosophy, so until I know what "and such" means, I'll be sceptical about whether you're really interested in philosophy or just thinking in general.

Topics that are discussed in philosophy are:

Ethics
Ontology
Epistemology
Logic
and the list goes on, but usually either of those above are in some combination with a subject to produce another form of philosophy... phenomenology is really a form of ontology and epistemology, heck epistemology might even be said to be a form of ontology! Existentialism is really a form of ethics, natural philosophy goes hand in hand with everything except ethics (at least in the strict sense) and political philosophy is really everything while social philosophy is mostly about ethics, ontology and epistemology (little logic there). Philosophy of language is definitely a compact combination of everything except ethics (though, Wittgenstein, once said of his early work, known in short as the "Tractatus" and which dealt hugely with language in a broader sense that it was actually a work of "ethics", though how it is ethics is quite difficult to see and it's rather far-fetched to say it is about ethics although some of it could be used as arguments in ethical conversations... like his famous "rabbit-duck" picture which portrays the fundamental reality of dual-truth, as things can be two widely different things at the same time)
