Criminal defendants or plaintiffs in any court proceedings will not hire their own attorneys. All attorneys, including those for the prosecution, will be appointed and paid for by the government. The responsibility of the attorneys will be to ensure that their side of the case is adequately presented, but they can make no comments or theatrics to the jury concerning guilt, innocence, etc. The jury will not be selected by the attorneys, but will be permanent professional jurors with expertise in the subject matter of the case.

Sorry, pal, you're the damn socialist in this forum. The government doesn't select the attorneys for a trial, a private outside profit-making company does. An independent private commission appoints and evaluates the company doing this.
