I was wondering if anyone knew a place on the internet where people discuss science and technology topics that are interdisciplinary. I would like a place where people actually read the books that are brought up and are capable of genuinely discussing the material inside those books. I'm currently working on material that is included within the following publications. I want to apply the material in them to actual simulations or chemical lab experiments (if necessary). I cannot simply sit alone in a room and just read books. I need to "bounce ideas" of those who understand what I am asking and what I am working on.

Don't be sceptic because of the name, it's only metaphorical. In fact, going to a random sub-forum, I noticed a lot of posts from a guy calling himself "thedoc", which is also a person here on this forum, I dunno if it's the same person, but perfectly possible. thedoc on that other forum seemed quite prolific in his threads, making more than half of the threads in that subforum, with all the threads having received answers within the last week (the last thread in the first page of list of topics received an answer as lately as 2nd of August, I think the great amount of response would do you good), this particular subforum was: "Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology"
