REAL Philosophy is Alive, Larger Than Us, Ultimately Incomprehensible...

Live your philosophy.

Philosophy must be alive.

Philosophy is beyond words.

Philosophy, real philosophy, is action.

So I'm assuming that, not the act, but rather the psyche of the deliverer of the act, contained in your last gif, is the point of philosophical contention. While philosophy is the father, I think that it's daughter, psychology, is far better suited to tear his psyche to shreds, into it's bits of internal conflict, as created by traumatic experience, in a world full of selfish entities, thinking themselves gods. Yes, many a man is nothing more than cancer, any new insights?

I'm not sure of what you are saying but I respect your insight.

I think what I am reflecting
, for me at least, is that REAL philosophy is something alive; More emotional than intellectual.

A leap...a transition between learning and actually actively ingraining a philosophical outlook into ones daily life. Into each of our moments. Bringing philosophy into each of our breaths. Bringing philosophy into our life.

Bill, I was trying to account for your show of an obvious ignorant selfish act of violence of disturbed emotional outburst as if any contains the solution of the universal questions, as it pertains to the subject at hand. As the only emotional component that I see as pertinent to philosophy, such that you speak of it, is that of the connection to the universe, through the eons of bloodline, if you will (the specific complete chain to your, Bill, existence), as I to mine, etc, for all! This and thus the intellect, guided by the faint glow of this chain contained in each persons emotions, as steered by the intellect, of those emotions as they fit the picture of now, 7 Billion strong, seemingly of infinite exponential, only really, that of finite subsistence, the madness of differentiation corrupting the balance of our very lives, purely for the sake of differentiation, unbridled human madness come to a head. Where the emotions fail to keep up with the intellect of where the emotions has led us, unchecked.

Can one really separate the emotion and intellect from themselves, as if separate entities? They work hand in hand, if they are to maintain balance, the worst possible scenario them not being synched, with the truth of now, as it pertains to the functioning of the organism's very existence.

So please indulge me, your use of such an act, as it pertains to the topic at hand?

Well? Could you please indulge me? Why use a gif of such an act? How do you see that it pertains to the topic at hand?

I've used a few GIFs here in this thread.

If you are referring to the clip of Lennie Small getting his brains blown out...I used that as an example of the usurping of the intellect.

The GIF of the Matador being skewed is again, an example of when the intellect goes out the window...in this case because of injury.

I maintain that there is a place, a strangely emotional place, where REAL philosophy can take place within our reality.

I refer to this place as strangely emotional because the emotional essence is just about opposite of what we normally experience as emotional.

REAL philosophy we live. We breathe a truth, a view of ourselves, within our reality.

The intellect is a function.
The slowest of all our functions as humans. This is a blessing and somewhat of a curse at the same time.

Hope that helped...

And yet you use film fiction to make your point?

Marx said it better,

“The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways: the point, however, is to change it.”
― Karl Marx, The German Ideology.

Which he did, with just words.

My use of images, GIFs, and available context tools are the expression of a journey that is more non-linear in content
and yet is still, unmistakably, philosophical in nature and intent.

Words are useful. The intellect is extremely important to the better understanding of our consciousness.

What I am distinguishing is that there is a distinct difference between let's say, reading books about working-out and actually working-out.

Words, books are essential to philosophy. They create a foundation.

If you have the intuitive drive to move further, you change. You move beyond words.

The elements of emotion and being are tools of a journeyman.

Not much of a philosophy then if it's incomprehensible ^^

Much of philosophy is comprehensible.

What I am pointing to is that philosophy, real philosophy, is something that uses the intellectual function as a platform or stepping-off point.

Philosophy, real philosophy, is emotional and uses one's whole being.

Real philosophy, the kind that requires one's intuition is lived. Is breathed.

It's alive in a whole different way than you have ever experienced life before.

Sure you're not talking about a physical activity, entertainment or art?

I know philosophy can be quite aesthetically pleasing, but viewing it in an artistic manner does not make it that artistic way. As soon as you start viewing philosophy in an artistic manner, you stop doing philosophy and start doing something else, like physical activity, entertainment or art. Talking about philosophy then tends, at least from my experience, to be rather tautological. "I see this, therefore I see this", and it's really mungo jumbo after that, lots of garbage (in a strict philosophical sense).

Those moments however, are good for taking time to be satisfied with ones of philosophical endeavours, and can, if one is up for it, take one to new roaming adventures in the realms of ideas, which, depending on quality (as some of them are just random meaningless roamings) come upon interesting perspectives, viewpoints and questions.

But really, you need to have some discipline to manage to sustain quality, or else it's just random bullshit.

I'm referring to total discipline, in a philosophical context.

I'm referring to all human functions being understood and observed
in action and non-action through the filter of our consciousness.

REAL Philosophy is Alive & Ultimately Incomprehensible

REAL Philosophy is Alive & Ultimately beyond the narrow scope of our intellect alone.

Bill's not interested in philosophy per se, he wishes to be a gnu hence his incomprehensibility dressed-up as profundity.

"Gnu":
Noun
A large dark antelope (genus Connochaetes) with a long head, a beard and mane, and a sloping back.

Noun
Nearly but not quite a guru. Lately to be found inhabiting the Interweeb in such of acolytes, disciples or followers.

Of course this medium is at once magnificent and yet strangely limited.

I'm not sure if some individuals are unable to see me or if I need to attempt to express my philosophical fruits in yet even other ways...

Within this forum, and in my life, I have developed & discovered some really amazing things. At least I feel these things are amazing.

  • * Accidentally, through a quite strange epiphany, I discovered and I am still developing a new form of union organizing. The third form of organizing. At this point I call it, The Way.

    * I have defined and accepted my own personal religion; Organized Labor.

    * Thirdly, I am in the process of discovering & developing an exciting NEW conceptual evolutionary philosophy. One that encompasses a holistic view of our individual lives and an eye to where mankind is, in general, in relation to our consciousness. The process of discovery is not without risk and I may, at any day, loose my life to one of the philosophical exercises. Like a moth to a flame I cannot stop this most important aspect of my entire life now.

...so, I guess you could say there is nothing that is more important to my life than philosophy.

...and through philosophy I have experienced the most important & memorable aspects in my entire life.

For me philosophy is real.
Philosophy is most important. Philosophy deserves the best I can adhere to in each of my moments.

I try to be as open and as honest that I can be.

I appreciate and respect the membership.

I deeply appreciate this forum in it being a most important vehicle that has allowed me to focus, think, and articulate.

I thank everyone who has been a part of this experience in me, even if you have only viewed my posts.

In the end, I would define my life, as a philosopher.

...and I feel I have single-handedly pushed a barrier of sorts. I have introduced the importance of non-linear imaging into the formally quite denotative reflection of dead philosophers shattered writings.

Philosophy is only REAL philosophy when you live it.
When you literally breathe it...

As always, thank you for participating.
