Shift in Hollywood towards Chinese market

Because of the big market for movies in China the Americans have recently shown examples of editing artistic creativity for the sake of not offending possible consumers. The point being made that whoever has the biggest bucks gets their own personally tailored version.

they have been editing movies for different markets ever since there have been movies...

likely yes, the history of motion pictures takes editing all the way back to the widely known and classical example of "The Dictator" by Charles Chaplin and probably further also. But this new growth in shift towards foreign markets is the point of the video and it will be interesting what it will mean. For instance, China is a highly censured nation, therefore if main stream was to find itself curbed by a need to satisfy the Chinese market regulated by the Chinese government it could mean a lot of loss of quality for American and/or European audience.
