Hello, people!
My name is Andrew, im 19. I live in Ukraine, in a small city Kherson(near black sea)
I am a student of the faculty of english - russian translation
I love English a lot, im just learning and i am only on the first year.

I am eager to translate some philosophy and some literature from English to russian. I do it for myself, its my hobby. I translate some poems too. I think i have a talent to understand what man means in english and to convert it to russian. I really do this very well, cause i read a lot of literature in russian and train my literary skills all time. Every day after university i come home, eat, do my homework and starting to translate my favourite writers. I mean i get a lot of pleasure from it, it is really amazing! How beatifully can be some thoughts and their formation the text! Too bad that i have no practice to perfect my english skill and u maybe can think that i indeed terribly orientate in the language. But i want to train my skills and leanr to express myself in good English.

Now im translating Henry David Thoreau, and his essay Life without Principle. It is one of my favourite writers, thats why i take it for my translation. Most his works are not translated, and i read and translate at the same time.

Friends, i have wrote you because i want to find smart men, which write essays or something else not very big. And i want to communicate with them and want to see their works, thus i can translate it and somehow represent it in my city, to my friends or teachers. Maybe we can even publish it. It would be very interesting for me, if i can find there real contemprary philosophers and i will cooperate with them!

Thank you. Answer me, please.

ah, finally somebody close to my own age. Feel at times lonely in this jungle of grey pubic hair.

Yes I can. While there may be some here who write philosophy or otherwise produce texts, if you want to access those texts you should know beforehand that it's all amateur writing and not best-selling works of some esteemed professors from some grand universities.

I personally don't write in any particular style. I have 3 blogs for which I post philosophical texts to, none of them active as of recently, and one of them was a project I had from when I was younger and only starting to produce texts.

This: http://the-long-talk.blogspot.no/ is from when I was younger and played around with all kinds of ideas popping into my head.

This: http://a-philosophy-on-importance.blogspot.no/ is from a small book I wrote titled "A Philosophy on Importance"

This: http://philosophy-and-science-of-needs.blogspot.no/ is my latest attempt at getting started on a new book concerning a new science of needs and abilities.
