No formula for happiness

a post on happiness triggered a thought.

that song i heard near 30 years back,

There's no formula for for happiness that guaranteed to work
but its a start. to open up your heart.
no reason to to hide . what you feel inside.

[so long ago.. yet i still know it. but nevr til today repeated it.
this is alzhiemers.. no.. ;)]

I i honestly cant say my life is/was happiness... you?

i find it terrible that i even have to ask the question.. as life is a gift we should revel in it.
not god.. but darwin changed that.

even now as our evolutionary paradigm is new.. we still live like a tribe of apes.

we now .. make ourselves...

given that we are stupid we will make the wrong thing.

Buddha is said to have a pretty solid formula if any. But it doesn't make too much sense to most people.

Yes happiness is so important.

You can't buy it! And shouldn't want to, as you could never be sure it was real.

And it seems to be so hard to experience it, surrounded by so much hate/crime/lack of trust.

So what to do?

If only I could convince an alien, to whisk I and mine, to some far off garden of Eden, happiness would abound, as we frolicked and danced the day away, to the tune of 'the miracle of life.'

I agree with Aristotle that happiness is the ultimate end-in-itself; it's the only thing we want for its own sake. Everything else, we want for the sake of happiness (i.e. because we think it will bring us happiness).

Human beings seem to look for happiness in the strangest of places. And most of us seem to be especially bad at finding happiness, or at least finding a happiness that is stable, lasting, and true.

This perhaps leads us to a paradox: if we are looking for something we have never had before, how will we know when we've found it?

I see that people say such, so as to try and lend credence to their belief, that they are a gift to the world, of course as usual with these types, it's only a figment of their imagination, as no one is necessarily more important than any other, as if anyone could rightfully decide this, with certainty.

All though many people gain happiness through different medium, My greatest source of happiness is when I have impressed myself because I have obtained a desired result through personal effect, such as I have worked well and I got a few more repairs for my business because I worked well and was a good person and was rewarded.
Most if my happiness is obtained with the obtainment of victory through focus and dedication. :D

Doc
haha
which reminds me of the Monty python sendup of Australia.

"Wine connoisseurs will be particularly impressed by the Chateau Nut-saint de Wagga wagga. A fine Australian table wine that really opens the sluice gates at both ends.

;)

PS. doc. i did not realize Italian navy in '39 was so well endowed with excellent heavy cruisers.. [an aside]
We should really play hearts of Iron 3 online. Just you and me. [prive game]
