The difference between love and hate

If you could see through my eyes, then you'd realize what you call "love", I call hate. And what you call "hate", I call love.
The above was written by Atthet in another thread. It sparked my interest as I began to think how closely love and hate really are. The difference perhaps one is rational and the other not.

Consider this

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow..........
There's nothing in this world so sweet as love. And next to love the sweetest thing is hate.

This is interesting, thank you. Yes, much food for thought here.

The best I can do for now is offer the example of activists.

Very often activists are born from a sincere concern for others.

And very often that concern morphs in to raging tirade against a perceived enemy.

Love and hate, pulsing back and forth, like the ocean tides.
