Yes, we have colleges and universities, but when people talk about going to school, they don't say, "I'm going to university," they say, "I'm going to college." That is why you will never be able to pass yourself off as an American, even technically as an American, because you don't know a damn thing about the English language as spoken in the land of the free (and I'm talking about America, of course, not that continent of slavery and oppression called Europe!).
