That makes sense. You seem like the type.

You know, both the straight-shooting sheriff and the company man have seen the same things.
No, I lean towards the policeman who keep their speculations to themselves until they can provide the facts and prove their case.

Your sheriff is the one playing politics and sensational ones at that. No surprise their tho' as from what I gather you actually elect them rather than let them be promoted, so politicians thru and thru.
Rather than spouting off with the first stupid thing that pops into your corporate head, you may want to research a bit deeper.
Consider it an independent study project for your own personal enrichment of how the world works.

The office of sheriff is the most autonomous law enforcement office in the home of the free, and the land of the brave.

The institution of Sheriff is the most pernicious and prejudicial legal institution any where in the world. Once they have their power they can run their district like personal fiefdoms.

Abuse of office and abuse of the person is rife.

Yeah, really.

The words take on a real philosophical significance that may take awhile to comprehend, when activated in context of the one reality.

Good luck.

Considering the accumulation of centralized power in the USA, don’t be surprised if the corporation convinces the Sheriff to get his mind right.

Funny guy.

News reports indicate that your murderer was on anti-depressants.

No one is chatting up that angle.

40% of Americans are in drugs that compromise their mental state. Do you have a point here?
The US does not prohibit the sale of fire-arms to people on prescription drugs.
i.e. you do not have a point.

Thanks, Hobbes, for the opportunity to clarify in the arena of your interest.

To restate the earlier stated point in this thread:

The more rational explanation is that he was possessed by evil, seeing as that leaves fewer of the loose ends left by scientific conjectures such as a temporary but undetected physiological imbalance that affected his brain, that is, undetected by anything other than his actions.

Another point is, corporate folks don't want to rock the 40% boat until every clue has been analyzed, and the trajectory of every bullet simulated on a computer graph, just to make sure everything is legally verified and can be supported in court, before releasing any official conclusions that may in some way damage corporate interests.

You and the questions.
Don’t you trust your own research?

He was just a guy. His dad was a psychopathic bank robber. Psychopathy has a strong genetic inheritability. It is estimated that around 1% of the population are psychopathic. Many get jobs as CEOs and property developers. occasionally they get bored and want some entertainment.

Gun salesmen, many of them psychopathic do not discriminate.
