Isn't it amazing how fantastic life is once you turn the TV off and forget about everyone else's problems.

It is, but I cannot seem to give up my addiction to binge watching the new series of Love Island and Married at First Sight when they come on TVattofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 4:44 am Isn't it amazing how fantastic life is once you turn the TV off and forget about everyone else's problems.

I had never heard of Animal Crossing until just 10 mins ago on The Chase (Australia) the host said he likes it so much he uses it as an excuse to leave the Logies! I'll have to look it up..Dontaskme wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 9:29 amIt is, but I cannot seem to give up my addiction to binge watching the new series of Love Island and Married at First Sight when they come on TVattofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 4:44 am Isn't it amazing how fantastic life is once you turn the TV off and forget about everyone else's problems.

When I'm not on this forum fixing the world and his wife, I spend most of my time playing Animal Crossing on my Nintendo Switch...now talk about being in your own little world, Animal Crossing trumps everything and everyone, where all problems melt away like a salamander in the midday sun.
Haha, have fun looking into the game. I cannot stop playing it, I love it.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 9:34 amI had never heard of Animal Crossing until just 10 mins ago on The Chase (Australia) the host said he likes it so much he uses it as an excuse to leave the Logies! Not really, because it's more a solo game you play on your own.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 10:22 amYes, it looks like fun. It's really not my thing, but I can see why people enjoy those games. I haven't jumped into a game for a while, but I bought a fairly expensive force-feedback steering wheel and peddles last year to go with my VR headset where I love playing Dirt Rally 2.0. I haven't had the time to play that for about 3 months - I honestly don't know where all my time goes!Dontaskme wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 10:34 amNot really, because it's more a solo game you play on your own.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 10:22 amYes, it looks like fun. But you can visit other peoples islands and they can visit your island, but you have to either be sharing the same internet connection or if not you can create your own personal dream address that enables you to visit other islands and they visit yours. Best just to research it all yourself if you become interested.
Wow, that game looks like a blast. Gosh I'm missing out. Maybe I need to expand my horizons. I'm just too lazy to be bothered these days to try out new stuff.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 10:45 amIt's really not my thing, but I can see why people enjoy those games. You can't drink and drive though - I am shit, end up running over spectators and camera crew!
Check out this chick (she's obviously not on VR but using 3 screens) - she kicks arse!

Yeah it's brilliant. Reality is a convoluted apparition of the truth. Sometimes I sing "Oh dear what could the matter be, Brians fucked up in virtual reality.."Dontaskme wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 11:09 am Wow, that game looks like a blast. Gosh I'm missing out. Yeah, games are like that, either they are your thing or they're not...I know.
The choice of what to play is too much, thy cup runneth over...we're being swallowed up by the world of AI it's hard to tell the difference between video game and reality anymore.
