You mean in the role as head of family and role as superior individuals in intellect and resources? Because those are role-shifts I'm talking about, at least. Those who despair are the ones who can't find place for showing off their macho-dominance...

I mean Australian men on the whole, don't feel threatened or dominated by women. I think it is naturally and easily an equal partnership, but men are looked up to, yes, as the leader and protector and they do it very well. It is an unconscious acceptance, that ultimately they are the leaders.
I think most Australian women delight in being "women" and leaving it up to the men.
But, my opinion may be biased. Ask Bernard, he is an Australian man.
