You remind me of a dumb fuck GI; "my country, right or wrong.", you could even be a member of the waffen SS ready to die for Hitler. Your version is "capitalism is great." even when it has fucked the worlds' economy.spike wrote:chaz,

Re: Capitalism & Human Values
The consistent theme of most of Chaz's posts is that somebody is stupid, a moron, an idiot etc.chaz wyman wrote:I've demonstrated your ignorance again and again. You are just too stupid to have noticed.
That is, Chaz is worried that he is an idiot, and he his projecting this concern on everybody around him.
If he can just establish that everybody else is dumber than him, then he won't feel so bad about himself.
It doesn't seem to be working, as his anger, which arises from how he feels about himself, seems to remain constant.

I must disagree. Chaz's problem is the idea that he has to teach others the right way of philosophy and save them from ignorance that manifests itself by Mormons and Yehowahs witnesses at the doorstep, probably a bad encountering at his youth that makes him so mad...Typist wrote:The consistent theme of most of Chaz's posts is that somebody is stupid, a moron, an idiot etc.chaz wyman wrote:I've demonstrated your ignorance again and again. But its not because he would think people are stupid, he uses such language to get a better response and anger people into thinking. Though the draconian approach doesnt suit everybody
Socrates used a similar approach only with milder language and by asking questions what made the philosopher admit that in truth he wasnt knowing what he claimed to know...

Though the draconian approach doesnt suit everybodyIf people who Chaz approaches were 'stupid', that would make his replies also meaningless, for it is of no use to speaking to 'morons', only if the word 'moron' and 'stupid' has to have a specific effect, it has a value as a conversation

Re: Capitalism & Human Values
One cannot do philosophy if he is steamed up by thoughts of self-pride or possible insults, what never happened. You shouldnt talk what others did bad to you, but what it helped you achieve, for it is plenty of time and ocasions to get mad of.And what do you think YOU are doing here?
Your comments are truly reflexive.
Inward and outward reflection is the first step to philosophical thinking tehniques usually called 'meditations' - Some call systematised-organised philosophies religion and systematised-unorganised just 'philosophies' because they dont lead to a certain government or thinking to be right.
But I dont see 'Capitalism and human values' in picking on chaz for being chaz. Would you mind and come back to the topic, for I am not fond of capitalism, I would like to hear from those who love it, why is it so great... Thanks in advance.
Leave your ego behind and be a pond of water, if the ripples of the water cease, you may see whats inside, and the inside might see, whats in the sky. It also helps you to grasp, how faith may explain the world without using logic. For Logic is the construct of mind to selfpreserve ones existence. How can you even tell that you're not a dream on someone elses mind?
One for the topic: For me 'Human values and capitalism' is the point there people learn how theyr greed meats with theyr ideals. First of all to put it in simple terms- All kids love candy but hate to buy em. What are the choices? 1) Theft 2) work for a) Spontanous nonhalted consumerism concluded in vomiting sickness or death or b) a little good for every day and a liddle bitter aftertaste. But if all buy candy even in little terms it results in booming the candy factorys thus raising price-levels. Also the ingredients to make candy become more in check and observed so not all are allowed to make candy. Thus some are implementing on serving theyr lives to protect the system 'what makes candy' and the factorys resulting in the birth of governement(G); police(P) and army(A). Those who dont like that, have to consiel themselves and fight or negotiate with G; P; and A. or c) we dont buy candy so much, the prices drop and halt on a level it is not so draging or us and other things can exist around 'candy'.
Now take the symbol 'candy' and change it with 'oil' or 'money' or 'american dream'. What would you get of it if you had it all, but it wouldnt matter to you? What is needed to make it matter?
I am learning new ways of thinking to improve my apologetics offcourse

So why are you being so puffed up and insulting?

That would depend on the tradition of philosophy that you are following; certainly not the Western tradition.

I'm sorry but I am having to swim through your ego at the moment.
It also helps you to grasp, how faith may explain the world without using logic. For Logic is the construct of mind to selfpreserve ones existence. How can you even tell that you're not a dream on someone elses mind?![]()
This does not help at all. Faith only clouds judgement. Faith is the urge to think the way you want to, to believe what you want. Reason and evidence always challenge the world as you wish it to be: THAT is philosophy.
