You could have been a plant in which case your user name might have suited the title ''Herbal''
It has occurred to me that I may have once been a flowering plant of some kind. I think this because of how relaxed I am around bees.

Probably the perennial kind. They take longer to root and usually are not as colorful as the brief annuals. We planted a perennial vine that took three years to root and now it's trying to take over the big trellis I cobbled together out of dead wood. Nothing but leaves and vines. The expert who sold us the vine said that we need to buy another plant for this one to flower. Uh huh. I figure this one is fine as it is with just green leaves. Why mess with fine? Flowers might cause pain for the little children.

Harbal wrote: Tue Nov 15, 2022 11:46 am I sometimes get a strong sense that I’ve been here before. Occasionally, I get vague flashbacks where I am bounding along chasing rabbits, and by the way the grass towers above me I think I must have been a weasel, or something like that.

I have heard of others who believe that they have had a previous existence, and some have done research into who they were in their past life. It is amazing what can be discovered by going through historic records. I fear it would be a waste of time in my case, as the family history of weasels is very poorly documented.
Well that's odd. I always thought you were one of my ferrets (Basil).

Dontaskme wrote: Mon Nov 14, 2022 11:43 amThe Christian belief that goes something along the lines of.....As Jesus was the son of God, most Christians believe he could not have been conceived and born like a normal human. Because Jesus was the son of God, and his father was God rather than a human man, his mother Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born. This idea is known as the immaculate conception.
Jesus was not the son of God. Jesus by definition and fact was living flesh and bone born of another flesh and bone body, namely his mothers womb. No womb, no baby Jesus. That's just simple fact and logic.

Therefore, the idea that the Father of Jesus was not a human coupled with the idea that the Mother of Jesus was a virgin and had not been sired by a human male...is utterly the most ridiculous story ever to be believed, it's bonkers beyond belief. So, are we just obliged to go along with this weirdness? are we supposed to believe anything that comes from absolutely nothing at all? Thankfully, no.
I think you may need to think a tad deeper about the birth, life and death of Christ.

Birth: To a virgin..Y?
..........among the animals in a stable. Now here is wisdom, 666. Y?
Life: lots of stuff.
Death: Went to his death rather gruesomely and resurrected. Y?

So.

At both ends of the life of Jesus the Christ, he has proven the power of God..or at least given great reason for FAITH.

I do not understand or make any sense of your reply to my comments. I'm baffled as to what your response is supposed to mean, if it is to mean anything at all. I have no idea as to what that is.

Well the life of Christ is all bullshit to you so I guess it matters not.

More like it's all ''Dogma''

A fixed belief or set of beliefs that people are expected to accept without any doubts.

Personally, I doubt that ''people'' know anything at all of their apparent existence and how existence was/is possible even.
It's not like you were present and got to witness your own personal birth or your own personal death. No person has ever experienced the actual birth of itself. So what here could possibly reincarnate?

How could there be a rebirth of a 'someone' that has never witnessed it's own birth....except in this conception, the word itself, aka knowledge?

What if the ''immaculate conception'' just means...there was no 'thing' that is born....except in this conception, the word itself?

Atto, don't you see, that all we can know about anything is what we make-up using the sound of conceptual words, that have absolutely no origin other than silence and void.

Anything that can be claimed to be known about origins of existing as a living being can only be a likened to a dream character or a cartoon character. A character that can only be imagined to be real.

Nothing is real, everything must therefore, be nothing more than just an imagined story, no one wrote, that everyone is reading.

There are some Christians who say there should be no doubt or won't admit doubt. But there are many Christians who understand that people will doubt and why and know that there are dark nights of the soul where the doubt is at a level of torture and heck even Jesus said 'why hast thou forsaken me?' on the cross. Sure, I know you think that's bs and never happened, but there it is in the Bible, Jesus himself expressing something that sounds like doubt and despair. I'm no Christian, but you are presenting a skewed generality for reasons of your own. And in your philosophy, there are no problems. The one is just being the one.

So, avoiding the issue of whether you present Christianity the way it is. Or?

It's fine if you cannot answer the question, reality cannot question it's very existence or non-existence. We all know that.
