In all fairness, there are British words that are shorter than their equivalent American words, e.g. flat and apartment (but in all fairness, you can abbreviate apartment down to apt. which you can't do with flat).

You and VT do yourselves a disservice when you resort to name calling. As the saying goes, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

But you are objectively stupid. There's no point in beating around the bush.

A perfect description of you you can take back to the social media sites.
The day you can stay on point instead of using ad homs will be a great day for this website.

Thanks to VT, we have the example of asshole vs arsehole (I know she'll never call me an asshole even though I'm American and she delights in vulgarities).

VT's so-called "arguments" always come down to one of three assertions: 1. Everything bad is due to America, and she'll engage in mental gymnastics, lies, and delusions to make this claim. 2. She'll make an insult against the person she has a disagreement with, and this is supposed to be taken as a sign of her intellectual brilliance that should convince us all she is more than a high-school graduate. 3. She follows the politically-correct handbook and engages in identity politics, along with PC America-bashing, while claiming that her opponent is engaging in PC.
Did I miss anything? I don't think so.

Right on point SF. She especially likes to insult when she loses an argument. If you notice she doesn't like to post threads (can't come up with anything to say)? Rather she intrudes onto others threads tries to change the OP into her agenda (America bashing, etc.) She tries to make it hard to figure out where she's from (Narnia

) while attacking Americans (it's actually easy to figure out where she's from).
Well enough about her. I've given a number of examples about the illogic of language (and I thanked her for unwittingly coming up with another example). It's an interesting comparison of British with American. Might have more examples later.

I see the two intellectial giants on here playing 'footsie' and lying and projecting shamelessly as usual. Nothing changes.
Happy 'pm' ing, you two creeps.

Here's an interesting article about British slang.
I know a bit about Cockney from
My Fair Lady. You can decide about the logic of it:

Yet another thing it doesn't understand. Local dialects, slang, colloquialisms, conversational/informal language.... It's enough to make you weep.

Doesn't work because your pathetic thread titles show up anyway, and they are generally about all you post.
You are being used btw.

Still your problem. You can easily avoid my threads and you choose not to.
