Anyone can sound sexy simply by putting energy, emotion, and intelligence into the voice. Form follows content. 8)

My old roomie answered the phone to a woman I was arranging 'time' with. After he handed the phone to me, she confessed a deep relief that his my voice was nothing like his. And she herself had a sexy, deep tone to hers.
Americans tend to speak very high-pitched anyway, (they have got higher and higher and more and more shrill over time). There is one American actor who stands out voice-wise and that's George Clooney. He has a very nice voice.

My roomie was Canadian as well, just to mention.

Here’s a professor in search of an avatar.

No, he's gone he is, a great spontaneous dadaist he was, speaking of language philosophy.

Apparently he's still alive and active at nearly 102.

I always liked him. He's doing something right.

Anyone who was blacklisted in 1950s America as a 'commie bastard' gets the thumbs-up from me. :)

I meant his age. He has an amazing constitution. Once you're that old, if you stop for very long you can't ever get up again.

So, suddenly that gibberish the professor spouts sounds like truth. Go figure.

Who knows, maybe you're seeing the light. In his prime the professor was an adroit stream-of-consciousness act that moved very quickly.

I didn't say that. He spoke gibberish intentionally, for comic effect. It had no meaning--like corporate-speak only funny.

I have just had a similar experience to Greta's. I was in the supermarket 'express lane' (15 items or less) and the person in front of me was holding things up for ages, so I asked the checkout guy where the 'cool bags' were. He said they were at the start of the checkout. I tried to get to them (not holding anyone up), and the old fuck next in the queue refused to moved, just stood there like a malevolent zombie, staring me out. I asked him what the fuck his problem was, and he said 'count your items'. I said 'there are 15' plus some expletives. It got quite ugly, then I thought how I should have smiled and offered him my place in the queue. As it was, my 'flight or fight' mechanism over-rode everything else. What is 'kind'? Someone who only has a weak 'fight or flight' mechanism? Does that necessarily make them a better person? I might have made him feel bad if I had been nice to him. Is that really being 'kind'?
