Psychonaut,
Thank you for your support.
You proved that through truth comes kindness. You demonstrated the bare and simple actuality.
The whole heavens and all creation would collapse, and never again have motion without absolute truth, all things which fall under truth
Unkindness, anger and superstition in the world would empty out if that all one can do in this world is good; this is the highest of all gifts of humanity.
This forum cannot be transformed and transmuted without truth and this is most good.

No wonder Rick booted you out as a Mod ; You actually think Barbara Brooks makes sense.
This Duncan guy is another deluded idiot with rudimentary education ,like yours.
No one and I mean no one with any educational background would read this shite and interpret it as profound. The woman is a freaking basket case man.
Now that you have lost the Straw Dog Blog you are an antagonist here.
You are as sad as BB. You should get maried and talk shite to each other all day and night.

Funnily enough I'm beginning to understand Duncans point. No wonder Rick booted you out as a Mod ; You actually think Barbara Brooks makes sense.

How would you know if Rick had 'booted' me out? How do you 'know' what I actually think about the BB thread? How do you 'know' what I'm 'thinking'? Again with the insults.
I hear this as me with my educational background, PPE I guess, have read some of this shite and not found it profound at all. Fair enough. No one and I mean no one with any educational background would read this shite and interpret it as profound.
So far, I've read it as her Thesis and, as when reading other German Idealists, I'm wondering when the Antithesis is going to arrive? Who's going to provide it? If its going to be as long?, etc.
As such, what threat is she to you then? The woman is a freaking basket case man.
You love your pop-analysis don't you.Now that you have lost the Straw Dog Blog you are an antagonist here. You are as sad as BB. You should get maried and talk shite to each other all day and night.

Feeling is our supreme wealth of self-means simply feeling is in communion with self. Everything is reduced to feeling, senses of the skin, taste is the muscle of the tongue, which connects itself to the mouth, and this is feeling. The noise organ smell is connected with the principle of air and breathing. Voice is pure self-affirming self-universal, expresses pain, longing, joy, contentment, and voice.
Waking and sleeping, the migration of animals or fishes to other seas this is feeling, the sentient creature has a relationship with the nature, and this excites feelings. The mechanical sphere of feeling is a faculty of perception has two determinations, sight, and images
Sight is determined by color as universal Element. Bodies stand in relationship with the Elements to individuality. The first is fire a negative side to air, the invisible destroyer. The process of air on material bodies is specific individuality; the volatilization of body is odor.
Smell is this silent process in which the body is consumed in the air and because air has no odor, all odors are dissolved in air the same as color fades away in light.
For when a body has lost its odor, it is dull and lifeless, fire has a particular existence in odor. Fire, the first relationship is air, and the volatilization of bodies in air.
Taste is in relationship with the Element water, which exists in a state of mutual indifference, Water is tasteless; it is salt which decompose into water and have a definite taste. We call it taste in reference to our senses, for salt is soluble in water simply means it can be tasted.
Color, odor, and taste are particularizations of self; they are the genus, the inner universal pervading and permeating all aspects of all that self can reveal. But, to bring out the genius within is through sacrificing self.

STRAWS BOLLOCKS VS BABBLING BROOKS :
Smell is the radiance that blooms in myriad systems of the earth.
A touch stone ,primitive yet refined when our dispositions cast upon it
the self glorification of our souls.
The eye that is blue is red and green and grey and from within
we see without seeing.
Cast your net to a thousand fishes and you will catch no fish ; but, cast your net to the one fish who looks you in the eye and your house will be filled with golden gifts from the sea and her mysterious siren.
Arising believes he will get money for being a psychology subject and for his part in the Tate exhibition.
And I believe I am a mystical philosopher ; the great Babbling Brooks.
I should watch East Enders instead of spouting this crap but, alas, I forgot to take my pills and am spewing verbiage by the gallon.

little by little this spirit of license, finding a home, imperceptibly penetrates into manners and customs; whence, issuing with greater force, it invades contracts between poeple and from contracts goes on to laws and constitutions, in utter recklessness, ending at last, by an overthrow of all rights, private as well as public.

God is the only maker of self, for no one else can be the maker. Not a particular maker but a real maker of real existence is God, the natural author. God likens that of mind which lifts the head into the outside world, and is carried round in the revolution, troubled indeed and with difficulty beholding true being; most of us rises and falls, and sees, and again fails to see the unruliness of the climb. This exceeding eagerness the mind to behold truth and where pasturage is found suited to the highest part of the mind; and on which mind soars is nourished with truth.
In addition, when the mind is unable to follow fails to behold the truth sinks beneath forgetfulness and wrong, falls and drops to the ground.

Good evening, Ms. Brooks,
Upon analysis, your response disappoints me. Don’t get me wrong, I am very grateful that you are talking to me, but I fear it is more talking AT me than with me. You have failed to address most of the points I made, and contradicted some without reason or evidence. I include evidence to further bolster my side of the argument at the end.
But where do you acknowledge my male contributions? In return for my acknowledgement of your female contributions? You have somehow forgotten to reciprocate. Not very good manners, my lady. It leaves all my hard-worked propositions just hanging in the air. In fact you don’t just fail to reply, you continue to lard on the female attributes of gentleness, reasonableness, soothing, avoidance of injury, pangs of emotion in the philosopher’s breast . . . all as if I said nothing! I am offended to be so ill-treated!
Just to bend over backwards, I will reaffirm your female virtues again: they are perfectly valid, and are part of the sum total of human knowledge and philosophy. Now Ms. Brooks, how about a response from you in kind? Show me respect by acknowledging my male virtues as equally valid: detection of cheaters, judging and punishment of sinners, risking death and killing to preserve civility and the public order.
And please can you write the words out in full, so I can be absolutely sure you mean what you say? Just as I did for you? I would be extremely grateful if you could.
============
EVIDENCE
Very few people would deny that both men and women can philosophise; but to say that men and women have identical pursuits, and that they philosophise in an identical fashion is nonsense. How then is it that all the famous philosophers are men? You know very well you are not speaking the truth, you are just hoping that if you state your claims frequently enough, I will stop daring to contradict them. Well, though I find it rather exhausting, I am not about to give up yet!
To claim that the only differences between men and women are purely physical, to do with the difference between impregnating and giving birth, is also nonsense. Everyone knows the differences in behaviour, right from birth, and science keeps piling on the evidence to back up this common sense. The world’s greatest authority on the mental differences between the sexes is Professor Doreen Kimura (Simon Fraser University, Canada), and she and I have exchanged letters on the subject. In fact she has sent me copies of two of her less-well-known papers. Every ten years or so Scientific American give her pride of place, so she can ram her message home: there are any number of measurable mental differences between the sexes, and many of the differences are dramatic. STOP TRYING TO HIDE THE TRUTH, you naughty lady.
Hence to liken the difference between the sexes to the difference between hairy and bald men is absurd. I don’t believe you honestly believe this -- you are just trying it on to see if you can get away with it. Well you cannot, not with me. I will pay it no further attention.
No-one, I imagine, denies that knowledge has to be true -- it isn’t knowledge if it is false knowledge -- but that is a long way from being TRUTHFUL ABOUT knowledge. It is possible to be extremely knowledgeable, and yet spend all your life demeaning and damaging others, instead of passing your knowledge on to empower them. It is possible to speak the truth all the time, without being of the slightest use to anybody else. In fact you can actively harm someone by spouting an irrelevant truth at the wrong time. Truthfulness is a better watchword than Truth, any day.
