What if life really is pointless?

As one gets older, time having irrevocably conveyed you to the point where a dead end becomes visible disallowing any detours toward the final destination, the question for many often comes up what was this farce about; what did it amount to; did it have any meaning at all? Was my existence just a coincidence of biology and nothing more? Realities response offers little consolation for those desperate enough to believe in a path that travels beyond the one we are all currently on.

Of course, a theist would never subject himself to this kind of existential introspection. His raison d'être consist in believing in a metaphor reified in terms of absolute and thoroughly idiotic beliefs that Jesus is going to save your moist little soul because you believed in him, granting you a divinely mandated passport to transgress those boundaries which, since the beginning of time, nature has been testament to without exception. Without that myth, that belief, they have nothing, deprived of an existential wealth of existence which proceeds beyond the finality of the merely organic. Oh woe! Say it ain't so!

I don't know of a better way to make a supposed god look ludicrous and vulgar at the same time!

You forget why you set off and wind up in the corner cafe where you think things over for hours. Then you return, bewildered, to your flat. This goes on in various iterations — some slapstick, some of genuine bathos, for 28 chapters.
