The great Israeli "humnitarian" Bezalel Smotrich's solution to the problem. Just kick the people of Gaza out and let the rest of the world take them into their countries. When you're "chosen" by God, you can pretty much do whatever you want.

This will either shatter some delusions or cause some serious denial. Perhaps, even justification.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 11:14 pm Silver, a Canadian citizen, was an active member of the "Women's Wage Peace" organization, which advocated for Jewish-Arab dialogue, and she used to transport patients from Gaza to Israeli hospitals for treatment.

Children as young as ten participated in the October 7 attack in Israel

“Frankly, I don’t know what you do with a generation like this. Can these values be untaught? Maybe for some, but children who will happily laugh and help out as they see women raped to death, babies cooked, and children their own age tortured, murdered, and kidnapped seem pretty unsalvageable…and remember that all of this done with your tax dollars helping to foot the bill.”
I had heard that civilians had participated in the atrocities and looting the homes of the Israelis who they murdered, but I hadn't heard about them taking their children along. Check out the videos in the link to hear and see the children.

But this is demagoguery, Gary. The overwhelming majority of "Palestinians" voted for Hamas in democratic elections.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 1:46 pm"Palestinians" didn't murder her. After the terrorist attacks, "Palestinians" organize public celebrations in the streets.
And on October 7, not only Hamas killed, but also crowds of “non-party people.”

That is correct. But that does not give credit to Israelis for killing 10 times more innocents!Janoah wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 2:13 pmBut this is demagoguery, Gary. Israel didn't burn every square inch of Gaza to ash- which they easily could - and perhaps that will be the only solution...
did the terrorists warn the Israelis that they were going to attack?
the dead are more civilized...

Maybe 'Palestinians' would appreciate Hamas not making themselves billionaires at their expense, and then maybe the 'Palestinians' could supply themselves with their own water instead of depending on the kindness of Israel.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 1:46 pm"Palestinians" didn't murder her. Meanwhile, religious fanatics in Israel like this one have taken over control of the illegal settlement of the West Bank pushing Palestinians even more to the edge.

Whether from Hamas extremists or Israeli extremists, whenever people think they're 'chosen' by God, you know someone else is going to suffer.

What should Israel do? Ask nicely for the return of the hostages? How do you think that would go? How would you go about it?bahman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 5:04 pmThat is correct. Well, first of all, I would start by renouncing any religion that does not drive home the point that we are all in this together (as utterly equal brothers and sisters).accelafine wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 9:38 pmWhat should Israel do? Secondly, I would also renounce any religion that does not comprehend that in the same way we all shared the exact same fate of awakening onto the surface of this planet together in human form,...
...likewise, we will share the exact same fate of whatever awaits us following the death of the body.
In other words, whether we are destined for eternal life in a higher context of reality following the death of the body,...
...or...
...destined for eternal oblivion because this might be all there is to our existence,...
...the point is that it will be exactly the same for all of us, regardless of what any of us did or believed while on earth.
And lastly, I would renounce any religion that does not instill in you how wrong it is to steal the land and homes of others.
So much for that seventh (Jewish/Old Testament) commandment...

And if you believe that the Jewish people, with the help of powerful Western militaries, have a right to violently reclaim the land that they once occupied thousands of years ago,...
...then, if you live in U.S.A, for example, you should have no problem with the Native American Indians, with the aid of the Chinese and Russian military, violently reclaiming the land that you and your ancestors have lived on for centuries.

Where do you live then? And none of that has anything to do with what I asked.seeds wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 11:30 pmWell, first of all, I would start by renouncing any religion that does not drive home the point that we are all in this together (as utterly equal brothers and sisters).accelafine wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 9:38 pmWhat should Israel do? Which tribe of 'native Americans' should the US be returned to? Would that be the indigenous Pretendian tribe, to which the famous indigenous singer Buffy Saint-Marie belongs? Apparently it's one of the biggest tribes.

Oh, it certainly would be messy, but in some areas it would be fairly easy to figure out descendents, given that the tribes are fairly intact and return that land to them. You could start with those areas. Some of it would be very valuable and incredibly inconvenient for the people living there.accelafine wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 2:19 am Which tribe of 'native Americans' should the US be returned to? Good argument with Buffy Saint-Marie. She's faking so they all are and no one could figure anything out. You made the right choice just having that argument implicit. I just realized it sounds so silly when it's uttered.
Re: Wonkers and Israel
Perhaps the problem derives from the Jews being cast out of The Garden and having no "homeland" until later on when they took it from another culture...vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 10:47 pm I assume that our resident wonkers are celebrating the current (very public) torture and murder of Israelis in Israel. It's strange, because it's wonkers who keep telling us that uncontrolled immigration is good, yet when it was Jews emigrating to Israel this was apparently a bad thing, even though Jews are indigenous to Israel ('indigenous' being another word beloved by wonkerdom). Anyone else confused by these (apparent) conflicts?
Could our delightful resident wonkers please explain and make logical sense of these anomalies?
At least, the theory leads some way to explaining why "Jews" among all "people" have had a hard time keeping something they took from other people, in the first place.
But I don't know that this is "the whole story" and by now it sure appears not to matter that much (given how "history" is "saved" and passed on to the next generations as "truth").
We shall never "know".
My opinion is, that if an extraterrestrial species asked us humans to "home" them on the planet - give them a place where they could set up and establish a secure piece of land which they could develop, why would we not make that provision, and allocate some unused sparsely populated and otherwise unwanted/underutilized piece of land for them to occupy?

Re: Wonkers and Israel
The weird irony is that these frauds often look a lot like the Hollywood stereotype of what people think of as 'native American'. Or maybe not so ironic. I bet people asked them frequently if they were 'indigenous' so they just played it up with hair, clothes and makeup. How many real native Americans go around with their hair in plaits and feather adornments?

Re: Wonkers and Israel
A Movie Indian gives a Movie Cop a choice, much like the real choice that President Trump gave to the Taliban in Afghanistan before he left office. His tactic worked until he left office, because the Taliban knew that he did not speak with a forked tongue, and there was iron in his words. This is why he is called a mean man, and his mean tweets were just unacceptable. So mean, did you see his mug shot? He wasn't even smiling. The rest is history.
