Skepdick wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:14 amSo then the only way to un-Finish the American Replublic is to prosecute Trump then. And let due process take its course.
...yikes.
No, a lot of Americans have died to build this country, and defend it from enemies, foreign and domestic.
Right now America has a lot of domestic enemies. The sides are split...between those trying to imprison a US President, versus those who will defend him, and for all the reasons the American Republic was originally founded upon.
I don't expect foreigners to understand, or care, as much as Americans do or would. Hence the placement of this thread, on a foreign (British) forum, is a little foolish of me.
I wanted to get outsider perspectives though.
OK, but I don't give a shit about your feelings.
What is your idea/plan of action in the situation?

I don't know if it can or should be saved yet.
Republics run their course in history; they don't last forever because no republic is a Utopia. Corruption always occurs. If the American Republic falters and fails, then, eventually, another will form in the future.
Humanity might be destined for a one-world government—I don't know yet, that's my suspicion. My personal motivations are to understand what's happening, why, and what will happen to come.

Did you notice how you said nothing about what should be done with respect to Trump in order to Save America?
When you come to terms with your feelings - let us know.

And yet so seem so invested in the drama. Why?
No it doesn't.
First the question needs to be asked: should it be saved? And looking at all the political corruption, immorality, marxist cultural rot, boys being castrated by the liberal-left, girls having their breasts dissected... all of this kind of implies, that *NO* it shouldn't be "saved" because it's already lost. It would be like trying to "save" the life of an 85-year-old severely demented man. Sometimes, they're just too far gone. MAYBE... just maybe, we can save his life...for another day, another week. But thereafter?
What's your opinion, skepdick? You sure like to argue, without demonstrating your position.
Then there's the matter if yes it should be saved, THEN how??? And that's an even more difficult line of Q&A.
The way American politics have gone this last decade...Conservative-Right Americans are going to need to take lessons from Antifa, BLM, the Far-Left radicals, because I believe, only fire can be fought with fire in that instance. The Liberal-Left have thus proved that they have *NO PROBLEM* using extreme violence, fear, threat, unjust imprisonment, to get their way.
Does the Conservative-Right have such a resolve, such a fanaticism? Maybe if not now, then soon? Can they muster the strength? Possibly...if it were duly motivated and under the right leadership. And I don't mean Trump. It might take a different type of leader, to resist the cultural rot.

It doesn't matter if it should be saved if it can't be saved. Your OP is beyond saving. It's about moving on. Right?
In expressing only one side of the coin "I don't know if it can' be saved"; while not expressing the other side of your uncertainty: I do know that it can't be saved you are expressing pessimism. A resolve in your fatalism.
The questions that you ask betray you.

My opinion? I don't give a shit to hold one. None of the moral panic has convinced me to interfere in due process; or the debate.
My position is that you are lying to yourself. You are way too invested in the drama for somebody who starts a threat with a topic as final as "The American Republic has ended."
FlashDangerpants wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:09 amSimple question you should be able to answer. Is it your argument that Trump shouldn't be prosecuted because Trump has committed no felonies... or is it your argument that Trump shouldn't be prosecuted in spite of any felonies he does seem to have committed?
No need to change topic.
You're not here for the conversation/debate at hand. You're here, out of personal resentment.
I am asking you an on topic question. Why aren't you able to tell me whether Trump shouldn't be prosecuted because Trump has committed no felonies... or is it your argument that Trump shouldn't be prosecuted in spite of any felonies he does seem to have committed?

Because he has no idea how to feel about anything.
So he makes all the arguments till he figures out which one fits his feelings.

You don't seem convinced of that.
You should start holding opinions. Similar to Age's autism, it makes it difficult to hold conversation with/debate against you...

Trump hasn't committed a felony, in reality, or even according to these unjust, baseless, purely politically partisan motivated accusations.
Your skewed premise isn't helping the conversation in anyway.

If he hasn't done anything wrong, and the accusation are both unjust and baseless, he can easily secure acquitals in all the cases long before the election.
Unless you want to up the conspiracy theory game with a complaint that all the judges have been bought and a mere billionaire cannot get a fair day in court?

I am of the opinion that I shouldn't form opinions on things that don't matter to me.
And most things don't matter to me.

No, that's 100% intentional. I don't really know how to explain it to you any other way...
Debating/arguing is a silly sport. And especially the way you engage in it - it's the dumbest way of debating possible.
If you try to drag me into a sport I don't want to play, I have no choice but to discourage you from playing. So I steal your dumb strategy and use it against you. If it's good enough for you - it's good enough against you too.

There's no reason to believe that liberal-leftists, who don't know how many biological genders there are, will be capable of ruling fairly or justly against President Trump.
I mean if your kind and kindred are willing to lie that maliciously about Sex, then why should you be trusted in any other area of life?
