Discussions and honest debates, I am all in for.
That is not a Christian characteristic so I go wanting. All they do is throw the supernatural at me as if it could be believed.
They have yet to put away the things of children.
That you continually 'see' certain people, which you then put a 'label' 'on those people', supposedly, always doing some thing is a prime example of 'confirmation' bias', or, in other words, only 'seeing' 'that' what you want to see.
Also, if you are 'in for debates', the you see or have only "one particular side", if things, which, itself, is far more likely to not yet be actually True, Right, Accurate, nor Correct, itself.
No. If I am in a debate, I likely know the other sides position.
1. I did not ask you a question, here.
2. What you said, 'No', to, is not what I meant. Which is not your fault. I would have been much better off using the 'believe' word instead of the 'see or have' words.

I enter all debates from my position, of course, because I am there to find out if I am wrong or not.
LOL

The very reason for 'debate' is to fight 'for' or 'against' a particular position. Which, in and if itself, could be argued is the very opposite of, 'to find out if I am wrong or not'.

I debate to learn. Winning gives me nothing. My greatest gift to myself is to lose a debate and have something change my reality and improve my thinking.
Why have 'your own reality' to even begin with, especially when 'your own reality' could be wrong from the very beginning?
Why not just stay open, always? If you did, then you would lose 'your own personal reality' altogether, and just start gaining and obtaining 'a view' of the One and only True and Right actual and irrefutable 'Reality'.

I prefer this to inquisition and jihads.
I prefer to not be closed nor "one sided", at all, which is what is needed for, and to, 'debate'. I much prefer to just remain always open, instead, because it is when you are Truly open you cannot not learn.
Now, what position, belief, or reality, of yours, would you like to 'debate', which you know 'your thinking' needs improving on?
If you show and reveal 'this', then I can, and will, show and reveal how though a Truly open, honest, and peaceful discussion, with a goal set beforehand, you can, and will, learn much more, much quicker, much simpler, and much easier than you could, and would, through 'debating'.
If, however, you do not want to 'just do this', then just keep 'picking a side' and holding onto 'that position', while you keep 'trying to' fight and/or argue for 'that one position'.
