What IS woke when it comes to climate change is when famous people preach about it, telling everyone ELSE to stay at home or limit air travel-- all while jetting around the world continuously in private jets and driving huge gas-guzzling cars and living in enormous mansions that have air-conditioning roaring away all day every day. It's people who are 'woke'-- not causes. Woke is hypocrisy and virtue-signalling. A 'cause' can't be a hypocrite.
Climate Change isn't really about the climate.

Climate Hysterics Keep Saying The Quiet Part Out Loud
https://issuesinsights.com/2024/05/30/c ... -out-loud/
exerpt:
But the more important point today is that the
climatistas continue to admit that their reasons for “fighting global warming” are unrelated to trying to control Earth’s temperature. In review, here are a few of the more prominent inadvertent admissions:
Christiana Figueres, one-time executive secretary of United Nations’ Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the climate activists’ agenda is not to protect the environment but to
break capitalism. The task ahead, she said in 2015, is “to
change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
The late Rajenda Pachauri* was the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Chairman until 2015. He openly conceded “the protection of planet Earth, the survival of all species and sustainability of our ecosystems” was “more than a mission” to him.
It was his “religion” and “dharma.”
Activist and influential author Naomi Klein once wondered if the fearmongering was “the best chance we’re ever going to get to build a better world?” The world must “change, or be changed,” she says, because an “
economic system” — our free and open markets — has caused environmental “wreckage.”
Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said more than a “few years” ago, almost five, in fact, that Miami will not exist “in a few years” due to the effects of global warming. She of course had a plan, not to deal with the changes, but to pass Democratic Party policies. “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all,” former Ocasio-Cortez chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti said, according to the Washington Post Magazine. “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Chakrabarti asked an aide to Washington Gov. Jay Inslee while the pair met at a Washington, D.C. coffee shop in May. “Because we really think of it as
a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”

* Rajenda was one of those climate cultists.

I wish we still had a decent "Quote of the Day" thread - that one is..well. Gonna put it there anyway!

The quote was subsequently highlighted with some examples that agree that Climate Change is not about the climate.
It's an old totalitarian trick revealed in Orwell's 1984. Just because it's called Climate Change by the indoctrinated, does not mean it's about the climate ... in much the same way that the Ministry of Truth is not about truth.

Walker, there is irrefutable evidence that increasing amounts of CO2 from HUMANS burning off fossil fuels and methane release is causing CLIMATE CHANGE.

Lots of shitty weather - we were in what was called the goldilocks period. Now, more droughts, more floods, more bushfires, more landslides, more Earthquakes, more Volcanos erupting, more immigrants, less biodiversity, less cricket, more concentration on boring indoor sports like basketball..etc, etc...

There's a wonderful series called 'Life on our Planet'. It's incredible how many mass extinctions there have been where the earth became virtually uninhabitable--sometimes closer to a Mars-scape than anything we recognise as this planet, yet life always persisted; completely different from the way it was before but it recovered and continued regardless. It's been frozen to mass extinction. Burned to mass extinction. Water-logged to mass extinction. But there is always 'something' that manages to survive and evolve. Humans will likely be gone soon, but that certainly won't be the end of it (unless of course it only 'exists' in our brain, in which case it truly 'will' cease to exist with our demise).
I just hope that the very last human is a climate-science denier
And you can't go wrong with anything narrated by Morgan Freeman.

..what happens is, a flip affect where the Earth ends up in an Ice Age.
And - that's when they take over, the Wookies (they are far better adapted for the conditions) -
There used to be this batshit crazy woman we referred to as "Veg" - she warned us, heck - she was married to one.

Can you explain how the proposition of creating a state comprising both populations is equal to •death to the Jews?•
Certainly. HAMAS had declared it to be its very first objective. As has been rightly said,
"If the Arabs laid down their arms, war would cease in the Middle East tomorrow. If the Jews laid down their arms, the Jews would cease to exist tomorrow."

So you are saying the solution is death to all the Arabs?
