ILP has at one time or another hosted some of the finest minds I've encountered on the internet, easily equal in quality to PN... which is also high quality. and both sites hold about the same ratio of super-smaht people, smaht people, smaht people with assburgers (or on the awetism spectrum somewheres), and trolls. 

but in the last couple years has ILP slowed down so much that these ratios have changed, yes.

And the variety of recurrent types is ridiculous. This is across all forums tho. Every forum has a numbers guy, and this is the guy who finds patterns and shit everywhere. Then there's the messiahs and prophets and new age gurus. U don't so much find hardcore communists like u used to find at revleft (where I found big Rosa) anywhere these days. Anarchists are frequent but not passionately so. They're just another forum fixture like the other types. Basically the strongest trends are Christians of some sect/denomination and garden variety materialists.

Well prom, that has been happening here I guess the more PHN became known on your side of the pond, it's been a steady decline in intelligent conversation where USAdians have replaced almost all of the London academics that used to post here.

But hey, what would I know about "philosophy"..

All those links say the same thing. In any case, I can probably continue to persevere in life in spite of being unable to view the video. I'm not against immigration. I realize the need to tolerate it. However, I can certainly understand the tensions that flare up over it.
