Lets see, you admitted to not paying taxes, insinuated that you've murdered people, and buried the bodies in the woods, yea, that's enough for them track you down and bust your ass. Ever stop to think of the possibly that this site is complicit in such an endeavor, a trap, to lure those out with lax moderation rules, and a false sense of security; over confidence, the usual flaw contributing to most's downfall.

Lets say there were a string of missing people in your area, suspected unsolved murders. While you've just hinted at murdering people, hiding their bodies in the woods, and blatantly admitting to federal tax evasion, and this catches the attention of the moderators of a internationally syndicated/publicized magazines official forum. Where the owner/operator has ties to Interpol, possibly due to prior site hacking, other forum users that actually threatened peoples lives, family ties, or just as an upstanding concerned citizen. So he drops copies of your threads of admissions and the IP's used by your account to logon, in the mail to his contact. Whereby in the course of trade agreements, between countries, including stipulations as to terrorism, and other such heinous crime reporting, the information is routinely exchanged with the FBI for info of the same sort affecting the UK. You know how the the crown and uncle Sam are such good buddies, most of the time. Such that some FBI computer cross-references, suspected tax evaders with unsolved disappearances, and locals of people that access this forum from IP's allocated to a specific library, and sure enough, it's narrowed down to your library in your neck of the woods, now they just lie and wait at the library, until that shifty throwback to the ice age logs on to the forum in the UK, while the FBI says got him, and you're cuffed on suspected murder and tax evasion charges, then you're grilled, being held for a minimum of 24 hours, forced out of your cave like element. But the real question is do you cave in? Matters not as you are now suspected of murder, while definitely being charged with tax evasion, as that proof can easily be obtained, added to your confession on electronic media.

There is no real anonymity on the internet, it's just an illusion, Hollywood has it all wrong, either as a misinformation campaign for just such cases, or so as to build suspense for gripping story lines, it really doesn't matter as even the most secure method of anonymity, a very famous onion router, was in fact infiltrated by the FBI, recently! Make no mistake, any criminal that overtly confesses to heinous or other crimes on the internet, is ignorant to say the least, flirting with getting caught! In fact it can be done, the real question is will it? A very thin and foolish gamble, indeed!
