no, I wouldn't be surprised. Your strength and optimism are obvious via your words

I only referred to your (occasional) pessimism because I really hate it when people I like don't feel good and there is nothing I can do about it. I am used to trying to cheer them up, but unfortunately that hasn't worked with you.
On the other hand, I referred to my optimism as opposed to my taste in music. It's really weird, since I love songs that provoke melancholy. I may need a psychologist
ps. my last post came in three copies due to problems in my internet connection, not on purpose
ps2. Seriously, Peter Garrett ??? I love many of his songs!!

B2b,
I thought that P. Garrett ws a lead- member of the band and the lead singer, I had no idea he was "a side meber only" (in fact he is the only one that I knew from the band). Anyway, you probably know better
I am really glad that you "are back". Welcome back, bondi

I am really really happy for ya. However, I don't have the powers you have attributed to me. You see, I know that "chances favor only the prepared mind" (Luis Pasteur). In other words, someone who is ready to take a big step can benefit even from a single word or even a smile, a gesture, etc. On the other hand, if someone is not ready to move on/change a habit/understand etc, not even the "deepest" wisdom would help them.
As a consequence, you owe it all to yourself- not to me, not to anyone else.
But, for what it's worth, I am always here

"A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?"
Kahlil Gibran
It's the quotes' day today
Have a nice week, dear bondi!

ps. What's straw? (I know the straw dog blog, but I don't know what that means either) Too many unknown words, lately
ps2 I tried to come up with some up-beat songs to post, but no luck, so:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMRlJ9oiOEw (the most touching melody I have ever heard...It's a metal song from my favourite soft metal band)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac8fqSbisqA (this is the song my daddy has dedicated to me, but this version is not the best)

This must stop, bondi. You seem to be able to read my mind
You see, your lyrics and the songs you choose tend to reflect my own mood.
I have worked reaaaaaalllyy HARD during the past couple of years and now all I want to do is party

I think I deserve a little break (philosophically/psychologically speaking).
And we danced, like a wave on the ocean, romanced
We were liars in love and we danced
Swept away for a moment by chance
Yeah, we danced and danced and danced
ps I have asked Amod to remove the puppy new year thread, that's why I have chosen to respond here.

I forgot to mention that I just can't stop listening to the hooters' song. I just can't! It's an addiction, I'm afraid

(since I do not drink and smoke, I suppose I could afford an addiction

)
Good night
