Are you so problem-free that you need to be concerned with everybody else's problems? You European socialists are all alike, but thank God, your economic chickens are coming home to roost!Arising_uk wrote:Given you get your ideas from Disney and Fux News and have never met an Europeans I find your cliche as cliched as you. If there is a difference it's that the European knows there no such thing as a free-lunch and as such thinks they should be allowed to have one without being at the bosses beck-and-call. Seems to works as we're not as fat as houses as the all you can eat for a buck Yank. Although I'll qualify that as here in the UK we have been aping the American model and as such lard-arses are beginning to abound.bobevenson wrote:The problem with Europeans is that everybody wants something for nothing. LMFAO! This from the boob who spends his time trolling about the Europeans! The EU chickens don't really apply to this UK subject boob but then you singularly fail to understand the entity you talk about.bobevenson wrote:Are you so problem-free that you need to be concerned with everybody else's problems? That's why European chicken costs so much, because your government won't allow inexpensive American chicken because it's treated with chlorine, which if it were treated with lye like your Norwegian lutefisk, that would be OK.Arising_uk wrote:LMFAO! Well, at least it stops us becoming lard-arses.bobevenson wrote:That's why European chicken costs so much, because your government won't allow inexpensive American chicken because it's treated with chlorine, which if it were treated with lye like your Norwegian lutefisk, that would be OK.
Once again you keep using disney and fux news for your sources boob, Norway is not part of the EU. So not 'mine' and even if they were still not mine as Europe is not like the American Federal Republic(for the umpteenth time
But its not so simple bob, no one is saying its a health hazard to eat. Its that its a health hazard to the workers and over here we can't do such things to our staff so easily so our costs are higher and the Eurocrats see this as unfair competition. Its also that your hygiene procedures are laxer than ours that you need to dip them this way so you can again produce them cheaper.
Anyhoo, looks like they'll be coming to an agreement and cheap American chicken will be available to the proles so they can get as fat as yours to their hearts content.
Me, I pay the price for organic chicken as I've seen how battery farmed chickens are kept and I also prefer to keep my arse where I can't see it.
What do you reckon the odds are that the 'farmers' never actually eat their own chickens? High I think.

Cutting through all your claptrap, there is no such thing as "unfair competition" or a "level playing field." These are terms used by socialists who can't stand the idea of free-market competition.Arising_uk wrote:the Eurocrats see this as unfair competition.

Depends what you mean bob, as in the real world the Chinese would make your chickens redundant. Do you advocate opening your markets to their imports? Would you be eating them? As I wouldn't as they have even less consideration to health, hygiene and quality control than your producers.bobevenson wrote:Cutting through all your claptrap, there is no such thing as "unfair competition" or a "level playing field." Casting aspersions on our producers will get you nowhere, my friend, but yes, if China wants to dump products on our market at less than the cost of production, we should send them a thank-you note.Arising_uk wrote:Depends what you mean bob, as in the real world the Chinese would make your chickens redundant. What the hell are you talking about? If products from other countries are not safe, that's an entirely different matter. Please stop trying to justify Europe's not importing U.S. chickens simply because you idiots want to protect European chicken producers from American competition.Arising_uk wrote:But will you be eating them bob?bobevenson wrote:Casting aspersions on our producers will get you nowhere, my friend, but yes, if China wants to dump products on our market at less than the cost of production, we should send them a thank-you note.

I'm talking about how costs can be reduced by having lower health and hygiene standards bob. Exactly the reasons why the Europeans currently ban your chickens, although it looks like that'll be raised soon, and exactly the reason why you have import tariffs on Chinese chickens I guess.bobevenson wrote:What the hell are you talking about? Speaking for the American Energy Party (AEP), I can tell you that all tariffs, restrictions and import limitations are the actions of oppressive governments whose officials should be behind bars for crimes against humanity.Arising_uk wrote:I'm talking about how costs can be reduced by having lower health and hygiene standards bob. I'm talking about our country, and thank God we got rid of you blokes, like so much of the world has, putting an end to the so-called British Empire once and for all. Now it's just a stupid little island with a queen.Arising_uk wrote:Not you bob as your relatives were over here.
