Maybe I could start a new movement, the "dissident insane".
For the discussion of all things philosophical.

Obviously for as long you keep selecting 'those people' in.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 10:12 am So how long is our country going to be ruled by people who think it is "stealing" for the government to tax the wealthy in order to have social programs to help the poor?
When have you ever?
Who cares?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 10:12 am We didn't have a perfect society before Trump and company came into power, but it was more ethical than the blatant unfettered greed we have now.
I didn't select them. FYI (in case you're interested in communicating any better) If your response was not in regard to me, then from the sounds of what you are saying, it would have been more accurate for you to say, "Obviously, for as long as some of your fellow citizens keep selecting them in." Otherwise, your response is incredibly ambiguous and ill worded.Age wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 4:30 amyou said and asked, more or less, 'How long is 'our' country going to be ruled by certain people?'Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 4:22 amI didn't select them. I just informed you that 'obviously for as long as you keep selecting 'those people' in'.
Now if you, personally, did not elect 'those people' in, then, obviously, my answer and response is not in regards to you, personally. Thus, my answer and response is in regards to 'you', people, who elect 'those people' in.
And, now that 'those people' have already been elected in, then, as I suggested, you people in 'that country' do some thing about it before 'you people' end up where 'you all' clearly are heading to, exactly.
'you' used the 'our' word. So, who and/or what was 'your' usage of the 'our' word in relation to, exactly?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 4:40 amFYI (in case you're interested in communicating any better) If your response was not in regard to me, then from the sounds of what you are saying, it would have been more accurate for you to say, "Obviously, for as long as some of your fellow citizens keep selecting them in." Never mind, Age. If it makes you happy, I'm the one with the communication problem. Just blame me.Age wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 5:07 am'you' used the 'our' word. Also, 'I' did not create the 'you' word to refer to 'you', individually, nor to 'you', collectively. So, until you, personally, and/or your so-called 'fellow citizens' of earth provide new words that mean 'you', individually, 'you', some people, and 'you', all people, it might be best if 'we' all do not use the 'you' word.
Are 'you', individually, part of that 'our', which 'you' wrote about, before?

Fair enough. Since I did not "select" the current people in office and you could not know whether I had done so or not, how about saying next time:Age wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 5:12 am1. 2. If 'you' do not understand 'me', then that just means that 'I', still, have more to learn, here, in regards to communicating better, with you human beings, here.
Can you clarify who you are talking to here, Age? It doesn't sound like you're addressing me, so I feel somewhat awkward in answering or asking you to clarify, however, you are talking about me so I'm pretty sure I have legitimate reason to answer your post.Age wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 5:15 am Notice how 'these human beings', here, when just asked to clarify what 'they' mean by the word, 'our', in the particular way that they did, 'they' do not like to answer, and clarify. But, 'they' will inform 'me' that it would be better if I used the words, 'fellow citizens' instead of the word, 'you'.

"Obviously, for as long as some American citizens keep selecting them in."
How does that sound?
