Self-control is called temperance has more of the nature of harmony and symphony than courage; it is the ordering or controlling of certain pleasures and desires; being your own master; but the master is also the slave and the slave the master; they are all the same person.
Justice, the ultimate cause of being, takes labor is the having and doing what belongs to self. So be a servant of good because every one had better be ruled by the divine wisdom dwelling within self and if this is not possible, then by some other influence, in order that we all, as far as possible, may be under the same society, friends and equals.
We are most likely to find justice in a good society compelled or induced to do their own work in the best way is a just society the whole society grows upward in a fine order, and receives the happiness which nature assigns to them.
Courage is about real and false possibility. Under all circumstances, do not lose t courage. It is a mighty mediator, the mightiest of all solvents far washing the mind more than any soda or lye; or by grief, terror, and longing.

Without consciousness of one and other living together shaping and preserving by labor a universal end, without that is a
society without an ethical order.
We have fallen into disorder to such a way that it becomes the task of philosophy to reawaken the mind spirit. This takes effect no doubt takes labor in attaining any stage of independent self-existence but it is only as citizens that we are real and substantial within a community

Zeno of Elea believed that those who see the many and not one have opinion not knowledge. Not having attained knowledge feeds on opinion.
There are three determinations of knowledge; empirical, theoretical and dialectical they emerge from the other and in doing so each result from the other.
Zeno who had an art of speaking by which he made the same things appear like and unlike, or one and many had a peculiar innate vital activity of empirical knowledge and his theoretical knowledge had two companions the intellectual world and visible world. Intellect that entailed thinking about things in for the sake of knowledge has the power of elevating the mind to the highest principles of being but also it was hypothetical ideal pure assumption, causing the direct opposite of knowledge.
Opinion differentiates into a threefold faculty of perception, first called the mechanical sphere of feeling; second, in two fold, called the concrete neutrality as smell and taste and lastly, color and the two senses of sight and hearing.
When ever anyone says to you they have found someone who knows all the arts and knows more then anyone else, we can only imagine they are opining.

Before we see, hear or perceive anything we must have knowledge in order to see whether object is one or many we must invite the intellect; if one could be perceived by sight or by any other senses, then there would not be being; but there is always some contradiction present, which involves the conception of plurality. The mind wants to know and contemplate true being.
Knowledge consists in open unambiguous meaningful and purposeful expression. Grasp the whole truth if knowledge does not intervene opinion can never be assure us anything.
For example, if you think of a certain object the senses do not give assurance that object is true. Mere images that dwell in the mind containing within a fabric of the nerves and muscles of body, and other various ideas embossed the fact that knowledge comes on the scene is a phenomenon; the principle of knowledge is wholly directed to truth.
In order to behold knowledge it is best when sounds, sights, feelings quit. Senses only hinder the acquisition of knowledge.
The pathway of knowledge is nothing less than the whole realm of the truth and in such that truth is set forth not as abstract, but as consciousness or more so virtuous consciousness.
In the world of knowledge the idea of good makes its appearance at a time when mind has worked its way out of apathy and insensitiveness into reality and can stand in contrast to indifference.

Let me try again. We must have knowledge to perceive because of all the contradictions present, and the conception of plurality.
In order to behold knowledge it is best when sounds, sights, feelings quit. Senses only hinder the acquisition of knowledge.
The pathway of knowledge is nothing more than truth and in such a way truth is set forth not as abstract, but as good consciousness.

No. This is a bad way to put these things. Self-knowledge may be achieved via this path but it is the 'long path' and is unrealistic. Knowledge can be many things and one of them is the knowledge of how the 'senses' and 'behaviour' are 'structured' by 'oneself'. Paying attention and learning simple techniques that display and optimize the way one thinks leads to ones growth. It is the 'short way' and gives valuable knowledge. It also includes others by default. It may not be the way to be a Scientist but it will allow you to be a popular one if thats what you wish to become.Barbara Brooks wrote:...In order to behold knowledge it is best when sounds, sights, feelings quit. UK,
You say no the senses do not hinder the acquisition of knowledge?
The mind agrees to be active in some part of its body and this activity is brought on by means of the nerves. These nerves are branches of nerves associated to the single system, which is connected with the brain. The activity results from these nerves without the bodily system being involved.
Thus, nerves can move particular parts of the body in a certain way by particular muscles connected with many other muscles by nerve-stems, without all the other muscles taking a part.
Feeling is instinctual and centered in a state of tension in us with the outside world standing over against us. This is a contradiction, two ends, self and the world, mutually opposed. Thus, in face of the outer world individual’s feelings adapts a theoretical, practical, ideal and real purpose of living. For example the system of nerves, veins, blood, bones, muscles, skin, glands, are each an entire frame. The head, the brain, has internal organs of sensibility, bones, nerves; but also belongs to it all the parts of the other system, blood, veins, glands and skin. Similarly, the thorax has nerves, glands, and skin. Each system is dominated by the others with which it is interlaced and this gives interconnection to the organism and at the same time maintains within self the total connection.
Their connections are of particular parts of one system with particular parts of the same or another system or systems and in respect of their functions are linked together.
The ideal relationship of feeling and the immediate reflective physical approach to the outer world is a theoretical procedure, which self determines a logically particular way of distinguishing a relationship with the outer world.
What excites a particular emotion exists outside is the mechanical sphere of feeling bound together like a bouquet has power of fastening together several senses.

The senses are effected by outside influence our innermost feelings and because of it our inner being is revealed. Sound is inner being coming into existence.
Sound for example is intriguing occurs when body sounds. Sound enters into a higher sphere, in the face of outside forces and there is immediate sound is called sensibility. Sound differentiates self from the outside forces. That which is inward for self reveals a sound that utters self-feeling outside self. Ask an experienced musician who hears the second harmony of the fundamental and hears double harmony. Notes are heard by the whole numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, this phenomenon of different sounds, which are harmony.
The ear requires through a series of notes that ascend and descend by equal intervals, combined with the harmonic triad yields a scale not in exact agreement. Thus, if g is harmonic, then d is the fifth; but if b is harmonic, d is the third and if, a is harmonic, then it is the fourth. The keys thereby acquire an inner diversity. Harps perfect harmonic have been invented to remedy any confusion and makes good the equal distribution of the inequalities; Each system c, and so on has its own half notes.
Particular sounds depend on cohesion and position, strictly, speaking, can only be revealed through instruments that have their own specific sound. For example, metals have their own specific sound, l the sound of silver and brass emit different sounds; Chladni has observed, whalebone emits a, tin, b, silver, d, cologne pipes, e, copper, g, glass, c.
The sound produced by vibration is called tones, harmony they occur when two strings perform at the same time, whereas disharmony produces only noise. Tones are dependent on continuity, distance and tension, if for example, an instrument is string or wind, its difference will depend on these three differences; continuity, distance and tension.

hi barbara, i believe what you've been saying all along is that we are within a body, just as a cell is within our own bodies, and if the "great one" or whatever you want to call it drinks a cola, we will feel its poison, and if drinks something good we will feel its good. likewise if we in return do the same thing, this "body" will feel us and respond too
maybe i'm wrong, please let me know, have a nice day'

Hello bus2bondi,
Have you ever looked at a flower through a microscope? You would see the general process of plant nature, for it comes forth from subjectivity differentiates into distinct parts, maintains self, and comes forth from self into a number of individuals of the same plant.
Plant nature although it unfolds self within self can only do this in a specific place, which it cannot get out. Its movement is determined by light, heat and air. Hegel gives an example, of its determination using a the potato plant sprouting in a basement creeps from distances of several yards across the floor to the side where light enters through a hole in the wall and climbs up the wall as if they knew its way. In addition, sunflowers and a host of other flowers follow the movement of the sun.
Another example, if you enter into a field full of flowers from the east side and face the west side, we will see they are all turned towards the sun. If early morning you enter a field from the east no flowers are seen, not until the sun shines on them do they turn towards the east and make an impressive show.
Animal nature is different from plant nature we hone are our outward process we preserve inwardly the unity of self. The self is for self is the same goal of plant nature but plants do not transcend to the stage of independence as we. We are absolutely ideal free possess within a determinateness of self stamped in your mind pervades and permeates all aspects of your being.
Mind is independent, feeling, perception, reason, will and thinking just as the sun has stars and planets all related to each other in agreement mind too holds together . What a remarkable ithing the mind it appears as self-consciousness determined but is unconsciousness.
the stage of essential life. It is only a showing of self-identity, luminosity, momentary physical light soften watery elementI. The sea contains within it the code of life, in it's fluidity

There are galleries of noble philosophical minds and heroes through out history. To be a philosopher demands in the first place a willing to give not superficial rhetoric but profound thought that exalt an infinitude of ideas of wisdom truth, justice, courage, and temperance who are willing to give not superficial but profound thought.
I catalog anything, which give certainty to the idea that all things, which fall under truth are mutually related in the same fashion.
I increased my knowledge little by little raising it high. I found a method of cataloging dialectic knowledge. I examined and reexamined, sifted and compared until there was no possibility of error.
Everything that is generated has opposition. I mean to say opposite things such as fairness and unfairness, good and bad, and the innumerable other opposites that generate out of opposites. Philosophy too has this process each period of influence for a certain time is a gift of spiritual life, an authentic element for the world consciousness.
Truth does not lie in clever allusive places, but rather truth summons powerful knowledge draws the mind to truth. In other words, truth brings to light, embraces nothing less than the entire system of mind and in such truth sets forth reality.

For us philosophy is a useful handy helper aid for greater clearness and better understanding of being. Freedom in a course of history is our spirit and attitude of a thinking consciousness.
We have come full circle of Socrates’ predictions that women and children and free, now both sexes can participate in home and childcare, government and military.
There are inevitable consequences linked with every action we cannot foresee the consequences of the universal nature. Purpose depends on the fact that we accept responsibility for our place that is to say we know our place. Purpose lies in the fact that we ought to be aware not simply of the action but the purpose of universal life is not comprised of mere self-action, but universal action, as world is a chain of external relations.

Every philosopher searches for truth. When will the spirit of philosophy is placed under favorable circumstances? We are so accustomed to imagine never raising our mind above the senses it is knowledge that all arts and sciences use in common light up the chaos in the world.
All great philosophy requires discussions of high speculation; from this comes loftiness of thought it is not a matter of clever phrases, or remarks and semi- conversations like forms of dreams
THE curious you will find many will carry the name of philosophy but really, they only have a sense of philosophy and will not follow it. Why, because, they would rather put something like it in the place of the authentic. These curious minds are welcome to any knowledge, which they may have and we rejoice at them but not philosophy.
Philosophers have magnificence as spectator of all time and all existence. Philosophers are sure to be moderate, just and gentle, and have the gift of good memory are quick to learn - noble, gracious, the friend of truth.
The problem for philosophers and everyone necessities prevail over our purpose and that is a struggle, like of any struggle of division holds true of inner and outer, generation and destruction, being and not being. In a words, anything that is to be or not to be. All things perceived clearly and distinctly but at the same time have received and admitted many things to be certain recognized as being dubious.
Descartes stated; “Certainty in this first knowledge there is nothing that assures me of its truth, excepting the clear and distinct perception of that which I state, which would not indeed suffice to assure me that what I say is true. If it could ever happen that a thing which I conceived f so clearly and distinctly could be false; and accordingly it seems to me that already I can establish as a general rule that all things which I perceive very clearly and very distinctly are true.”
