I'm shocked. The US is a basket of deplorables? This attack must include Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Open misogyny. Live and learn

Nick_A wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2020 2:54 am Henry, now you've done it. Hillary said that Trump supporters were a basket of deplorables. Now Biden called Trump supporters "chumps." Yet you continue to support Trump on this thread not embarrassed in the least by how they look down on you.

To make matters worse I agree with you and may be sent back to school to learn right from wrong. Maybe I'll learn which is considered worse as philosophers debate the merits of chumps vs deplorables
yep, our -- your & my -- days are numbered

atavists like us are repugnant

if they can't reeducate us, they'll off us

I say we take a few of 'em along with us

I’ve seen no evidence that Schlumpers can tolerate normal people. The rest of us have love for anyone.

The saving grace is that Mr and Mrs Normal have a young son whose name is Ab. The future of liberty may well depend on if the young Ab Normal and his group of friends become influential enough to awaken the masses to the value of freedom

In the US there is no 'normal side'. Sanders was close, but too intelligent for what passes as 'left' (to idiots) over there.

Love you too Henry, but you are as mad as a basket of therapists. I think Bernie comes across as highly intelligent and completely sane, although as a non-resident I don't have the same level of awareness of him as Americans might (but then, sanity looks like madness to the insane :) )

ps. If your man is going to win then his voters will need to get out in force and vote on election day because the ones voting early are probably overwhelmingly those who want him out. Same thing happened here (but in reverse, sort of).

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now and you already live there. Get used to it or be unhappy for the rest of your life.

One hopes Mr and Mrs Normal together with young Ab will understand the nature of human freedom. Liberty is so often lied about and the lies believed by gullible people that 'liberty' does not have a political meaning but is a word used to agitate and stir up resentments.

In present day USA for instance libertarians are ranged against demographic groups such as African Americans and Latinos. In the name of 'liberty' many people rationalise and glorify laissez faire.
